You should get “Ultimate Black Trim Restorer” it’s like lotion for the black plastic parts of cars but it will make your bumpers look jet black and new. It’s like magic! I use it when I wash my car to refresh the plastic that the sun has ‘dehydrated’

See ladies my husband for what i told him about my teenage days . I told him that i used to attend a tech trade school and graduated in auto body and hvac . Let's just say when he came home His truck was fully detailed and in a new chameleon paint dark royal blue / sky blue with salvage 30 inch chrome rims and new Speakers and sub woofer kit ,medium visibility tints , with new pleather interior 😆 i went cheap on that ; my bad . dents popped in all . by me . My hubz came home and he asked "where you get the money to pay anybody to do this kind of work like this " lmbo Y'all know us girls could hold it down too. 😆 It did hurt his feelings that i didn't include him on this project but anyways .

No air conditioning and had to learn to drive a stick shift. My goodness you are so brave to paint the car yourself! Lordy, you need that gun thingy that helps you spray and saves your poor fingers. Oh you found one! You are never going to loose your car in a parking lot! She stands out like a jewel. I suggest that you wax it with some really good wax before winter set in. Make sure it's the Rust-Oleum. X' s 2 means it sticks to everything. Even plastic. We use it in our shop on everything. Also they have clear coat gloss or matte or muted one of those words. Means protect but no more shine. All I no. Lol.

I highschool my bohemian best friend had a paint party for her broncho. We hand paint flowers 🌸, doodles, quotes and then topped it with rustoleum clear and it never chipped. She loved it so much and this project reminded me of good times. Great job on your car it looks fabulous !!

I got T-Boned in a Tercel. My first car was smashed in and the Tercel didn’t have a scratch. It was my fault for the accident but dude was like “Are you okay?” And didn’t come after my insurance. The cop did his report and dude told me he was sorry we met this way but didn’t have anything wrong with his car so he never reported to insurance. Those cars are so hardcore lol
I literally just finished mine. Its a FLUORESCENT HOT PINK, with sparkly white and black accents. I first did it with Raptor so it can be textured and then i did it with the spray can. It takes time. They most exhausting thing to the was the taping. You guys i went through so many trials with different tape, the best BEST tape is the green frog tape from walmart its a couple more dollars than the others (around $4-$6) but def worth it though trust me it rained and it still stayed in place WITH THE PAPER YALL and i only had to tape up 3 or less parts on the window where the crumpled away from the tape.
Cotton Candy looks so cute! Honestly, I would have NEVER THOUGHT to paint a car myself! Not NEVER! I think my fav part of this video was seeing Kayla, dressed in the same colors as her car, getting into her newly painted, cute car! I don't recommend yo to do that after she painted it you could see many stains on the paint its becuase she painted on the sun and it wasn't straight and sense it's only painted with paint and no clear it will burn out

Just stumbled on this old video. I’m in my 2nd year of work stripping and painting my car the hard way. I’ve watched countless videos on the daunting process of painting cars and often find myself in a state of paralysis because of the overwhelming amount of information and the fear of “doing it wrong” This video really reminded me what’s important - the joy of doing it, and the satisfaction of seeing the results no matter the process and materials used. I subscribed to your channel for all the renovation content, but seeing that you have a Tercel as well was the icing on the cake! We got ours for $400 and drove her for 7 years. At the end of the life, we had to keep the heat on blast all year round so the engine wouldn't blow up, and I still miss hitting the roof with my head everytime we went over a bump 💕

i cant speak out about every teen in the world but being a teen myself and being friends with many people around the world, most teens especially those truly in the car community such as myself dont really care about year model like how you state, most love driving and or modifying cars, i own a 2006 toyota camry and am thinking of started a show car build on it. I actually know a good amount of people that would be more than willing to own a car as long as it’s something they can proudly pick for their selves thats why i truly believe picking a budget before year is super important because for $7k i could buy a 2013 honda civic or i could buy a 2007 audi a4 for $6k and spend the rest on maybe a new set of wheels or any small modifications i might want, and if i want to go extreme on the example i could buy a 2000 bmw 328ci for $3k and use the remaining $4k on any modifications and even have money to hold on to for things like any emergency services needed
Young Lady Business yes! A clear coat will act as a protectant to prevent rust AND make it super glossy and shiny! You can also buy spray paint trigger handles (picture a windex bottle trigger) attachments that you stick right on the can and it will continuously spray. Soooo much easier on the hand and make spray painting a breeze!
My first car was a 1966 Ford Mustang. I called him Shake-n-Bake because the engine needed new motor mounts and the interior needed a headliner. So when my then husband would drive me around(I bought the car and didn't know how to drive at the time...it was my dream car 😏🤷🤦) in it we would shake because the motor mounts were not good causing the car to shake and with no headliner our heads were baking. Hence, the Shake-n-Bake 😅😂😂😂😝😋

This transformation is amazing!!! Back in highschool I had a white '89 Buick century, and spray painted some navy blue racing stripes on it, and had my friends sign the bumper with sharpie
I touched up my car last year. I used tips from TH-camrs. After sanding it I took it to the carwash and waited 24 hours before spraying it. After I finished, it was clean and looked like new People asked me if I got a new 🚗 I would say no while watching them trying to figure out what was different😅 That $2.99 spray handle is a time saver. I use A LOT of spray paint in my DIYs and I like it so much. You did a great job. 💃🏃🙌👍

Wow!!!! No I would never try to paint my car but you did a great job. I am shocked it only took 6 cans of paint. A really good upholstery cleaner is Tuff Stuff found in grocery stores or Auto stores. No machine needed. Spray let sit and use damp cloth to wipe clean.

This was literally sooo satisfying to watch. Also 30k miles is such a freakin deal. My first car was a 04 Maxima that almost caught on fire the first time I started driving it 😂 but it lasted about 130k miles during my time with it
Love her name (good job Dad!) LOVE the color. Just a couple tips to make that paint job and upholstery clean up last: You need to do a clear coat to protect the paint. My suggestion would be to go to Sherwin Williams and take a can of the paint you used. Ask them what NON YELLOWING clear coat will work for your car. Some clear coats yellow so you def want to avoid that. And you can pick up a couple of cans of Scotch Guard-which you spray on and it helps your upholstery repel liquids and stains. I'm not a know-it-all but just an older woman that's redone 7 homes and raised messy boys and always had a houseful of their friend's over. Lots of lessons learned over the years but girl, I would have NEVER had your courage and vision to paint a car! You are amazing. Keep up the great videos. You've got a solid fan down in Louisiana!⚜️

My first car was a 1980 Toyota Corolla (loving called the Yota) had her for 5 years and paid $900 back in 1991.
My first car was a 1999 Saturn Sw1. A station wagon with a different color driver door, no ac , and roll down windows . Lasted about 3 years . Had to replace minor things but never left me stranded!
My first car was a 1998 Saturn sw2. I bought it from my dad for $500. I loved that car so much. It had no a/c, the passenger window didn't roll down and you had to open the driver's door from the outside 😂 but it was my car and the first car I actually bought for myself.
Probably not well... When cars are painted professionally it's done in multiple coats of both paint and clear coat and done with airbrush... Just get a wrap kit don't spray paint if you can't afford to get it re-coated professionally.

Am I the only one who thinks the car is faster after it's all cleaned up and waxed 😀👍 my first car was a 1978 MGB brown body and black convertible top. Loved that car. No air conditioning and had to learn to drive a stick shift. My goodness you are so brave to paint the car yourself! Lordy, you need that gun thingy that helps you spray and saves your poor fingers. Oh you found one! You are never going to loose your car in a parking lot! She stands out like a jewel. I suggest that you wax it with some really good wax before winter set in. You did a fantastic job 😊

You forgot to add Clearcoat. You need that or else the paint will come off.
Girl it looks AWESOME!!! To prevent it from peeling or fading you my want to try Rest-oleum auto enamel. They make it in both glossy or matte finish. I used it myself and it is awesome. Keep on making videos they are so uplifting to watch.

Make sure it's the Rust-Oleum. X' s 2 means it sticks to everything. Even plastic. We use it in our shop on everything. Also they have clear coat gloss or matte or muted one of those words. Means protect but no more shine. All I no. Lol.

I highschool my bohemian best friend had a paint party for her broncho. We hand paint flowers 🌸, doodles, quotes and then topped it with rustoleum clear and it never chipped. She loved it so much and this project reminded me of good times. Great job on your car it looks fabulous !!

I got T-Boned in a Tercel. My first car was smashed in and the Tercel didn’t have a scratch. It was my fault for the accident but dude was like “Are you okay?” And didn’t come after my insurance. The cop did his report and dude told me he was sorry we met this way but didn’t have anything wrong with his car so he never reported to insurance. Those cars are so hardcore lol
I literally just finished mine. Its a FLUORESCENT HOT PINK, with sparkly white and black accents. I first did it with Raptor so it can be textured and then i did it with the spray can. It takes time. They most exhausting thing to the was the taping. You guys i went through so many trials with different tape, the best BEST tape is the green frog tape from walmart its a couple more dollars than the others (around $4-$6) but def worth it though trust me it rained and it still stayed in place WITH THE PAPER YALL and i only had to tape up 3 or less parts on the window where the crumpled away from the tape.
I wonder how it looks. I wish I could see a pic. That sounds so cool.

I don't recommend yo to do that after she painted it you could see many stains on the paint its becuase she painted on the sun and it wasn't straight and sense it's only painted with paint and no clear it will burn out

I’ve watched countless videos on the daunting process of painting cars and often find myself in a state of paralysis because of the overwhelming amount of information and the fear of “doing it wrong”
This video really reminded me what’s important - the joy of doing it, and the satisfaction of seeing the results no matter the process and materials used.

I subscribed to your channel for all the renovation content, but seeing that you have a Tercel as well was the icing on the cake! We got ours for $400 and drove her for 7 years. At the end of the life, we had to keep the heat on blast all year round so the engine wouldn't blow up, and I still miss hitting the roof with my head everytime we went over a bump 💕
I love that you’re humble 🤍 most teens would expect a new car like a 2018 model or newer and wouldn’t even settle for less or even paint their own car they’d expect to pay someone an outrageous price I just love your personality
i cant speak out about every teen in the world but being a teen myself and being friends with many people around the world, most teens especially those truly in the car community such as myself dont really care about year model like how you state, most love driving and or modifying cars, i own a 2006 toyota camry and am thinking of started a show car build on it. I actually know a good amount of people that would be more than willing to own a car as long as it’s something they can proudly pick for their selves thats why i truly believe picking a budget before year is super important because for $7k i could buy a 2013 honda civic or i could buy a 2007 audi a4 for $6k and spend the rest on maybe a new set of wheels or any small modifications i might want, and if i want to go extreme on the example i could buy a 2000 bmw 328ci for $3k and use the remaining $4k on any modifications and even have money to hold on to for things like any emergency services needed

Young Lady Business yes! A clear coat will act as a protectant to prevent rust AND make it super glossy and shiny! You can also buy spray paint trigger handles (picture a windex bottle trigger) attachments that you stick right on the can and it will continuously spray. Soooo much easier on the hand and make spray painting a breeze!
Young Lady Business Rustoleum has a spray clear coat . Painting the wheels would be nice too, maybe matte black

My first car was a 1966 Ford Mustang. I called him Shake-n-Bake because the engine needed new motor mounts and the interior needed a headliner. So when my then husband would drive me around(I bought the car and didn't know how to drive at the time...it was my dream car 😏🤷🤦) in it we would shake because the motor mounts were not good causing the car to shake and with no headliner our heads were baking. Hence, the Shake-n-Bake 😅😂😂😂😝😋

I touched up my car last year. I used tips from TH-camrs. After sanding it I took it to the carwash and waited 24 hours before spraying it. After I finished, it was clean and looked like new
People asked me if I got a new 🚗 I would say no while watching them trying to figure out what was different😅
That $2.99 spray handle is a time saver. I use A LOT of spray paint in my DIYs and I like it so much.

Wow!!!! No I would never try to paint my car but you did a great job. I am shocked it only took 6 cans of paint. A really good upholstery cleaner is Tuff Stuff found in grocery stores or Auto stores. No machine needed. Spray let sit and use damp cloth to wipe clean.

Love her name (good job Dad!) LOVE the color. Just a couple tips to make that paint job and upholstery clean up last: You need to do a clear coat to protect the paint. My suggestion would be to go to Sherwin Williams and take a can of the paint you used. Ask them what NON YELLOWING clear coat will work for your car. Some clear coats yellow so you def want to avoid that. And you can pick up a couple of cans of Scotch Guard-which you spray on and it helps your upholstery repel liquids and stains. I'm not a know-it-all but just an older woman that's redone 7 homes and raised messy boys and always had a houseful of their friend's over. Lots of lessons learned over the years but girl, I would have NEVER had your courage and vision to paint a car! You are amazing. Keep up the great videos. You've got a solid fan down in Louisiana!⚜️

My first car was a 1998 Saturn sw2. I bought it from my dad for $500. I loved that car so much. It had no a/c, the passenger window didn't roll down and you had to open the driver's door from the outside 😂 but it was my car and the first car I actually bought for myself.

Probably not well... When cars are painted professionally it's done in multiple coats of both paint and clear coat and done with airbrush...
Just get a wrap kit don't spray paint if you can't afford to get it re-coated professionally.
