I’ve gotten a lot of actionable information from Ross. One of the best tips along with more experience, is to be disciplined and only take a trade when the conditions and set up are obvious. You know, those times when you really don’t need indicators to tell you, it’s obvious just from price action, level 2, and overall market conditions. Thanks Ross

A pattern I noticed for gerring the bottom, is a stock with momentum under 5 or 10 a share will drop 30 cents from high of day and then bounce. If high of day is 4.94 and it bounces at 4.62 that isn't a coincidence. Drops about 30 cents and bounces. Would buy 4.59 to 4.67 but sell it all at at 4.75. You are looking for that 30 cent flush below high of day to start scaling into it. As soon as I started understanding understanding those patterns it got easier.

Hello Ross: I don't know if it's a stupid question, but I'll ask it, I don't understand why a public company, its income and profits increase, but the value of the share falls.
Hey, the value of a stock is what investors think the future worth of the company will be. So even if a company is making money, but people are pessimistic about it's future, it will decrease in price.
Adjusting share size depending the candle range of the stock was a big change for me. Example. When I’m watching the stock. Stocks Below $20 I’m watching the 1 min chart. Safer 5 min for a better setup and 1 min when looking for an entry. I look at the price range on the Y-axis on the right side. So if I see it’s showing $5.00, $5.25, $5.50 etc.. I see it’s moving about .25cents. Sometimes it’s not exactly 25 cents. Could be 40 cent but I’ll just round to the nearest quarter or dollar. Up or down. So how I adjust my share size? I have hot keys setup for .10/ .25/ .50/ $1.00 and $2.00 candle range moves. (It can be what ever you want. I’m just being conservative. future might do 10-50 cents keys instead. ) Example. 1,000 share size entry on a .10 move is $100 winner. But if it has more range say 25 cent move. My second hot key is 400 shares. $100/ .25 cents= 400 shares. Now I also have a .25 cent stop instead of .10 and getting stopped out quick. But now it would need to move .25 up again to get the $100 but I don’t care. If I see it’s losing steam I’ll lock it in after at 10-20 cent move for less profit but at least I’m green. I do that math for each range. If you don’t use hot keys and type in your share size. Just have those numbers on a sticky note. Start looking into your share sizes. Track your trades. Study classes in the areas you’re weak and study your mistakes. I started small share size. Green on the trade but red on commissions. Forget about being profitable. Treat it like a sim. And just keep funding the account for the mean time to keep it high each month with what you can. Track your metrics (Don’t include commissions. Were you green is more important B4 commissions ) Increase share size every 10 days if you show good accuracy and P&L for those 10 days. Rinse and repeat. Eventually you start getting away from commissions eating your profits. Focus on the right stocks to trade like Ross says. A quality types. When your account grow then you can take more stabs at lower quality. Best of luck.
