This was a really nice overview of the resort and the excursion! We are going to our 3rd sandals resort in 2024 and haven’t had anything but good experiences and are definitely interested in this location in the future!
The best excursion Pig island Its not swimming with the pigs u feed them, then swimming with the sharks was really nice amd feeding the Iguanas Bahamas is beautiful

Thanks for the review! Are they wild pigs that just live on that island? Or are they domestic? Did you see happen to see where they are kept when they aren't swimming? Were the stingray free to come and go as they pleased, or were they trapped in a netted area where they could not escape people if they wanted to?
Hello, farmers at some point put the pigs on the island and now they live there. There was an original pig island, but when it picked up in popularity more pigs were placed on other islands. They are fed but are not kept anywhere since the islands are very small. There were a few small pins for the babies. It's just the pigs and vegetation on the islands. The sting rays are free to come and go, but have learned to come because of the food.
That's great news. Thanks for the quick reply! We did an excursion once and the poor stingrays were kept in a net "room" where they were not free to swim away when they had had enough. It was so sad to see them forced to be a tourist attraction. Even though we paid, I couldn't bear to participate!

The water was calm when we went so but we took Dramamine just in case and didn’t have any problems.

How were the bugs? I have read a lot about the sandflies and bug bites.
We only noticed them at night at the Barefood in the Sand restaurant. And they had bug spray there so it wasn’t an issue.

Which tour company do you recommend? And how much did you pay?
For the excursion we went through Island Routes and It think it was $180 or $200.
So they don't have an airport and you have to get on a smaller plane to fly to this island?
