I decided to try a pair of these after a previous video these were featured in. Best training shoe I have used by far. I will only buy shoes detailed by TF2 now 😂.
Nice review Jake. I have 260 V2 and yet to own a pair of shoes that feel so good on my feet . . . despite the fact that the 260 V2 feels 'short' when it comes to sizing. Typically wear 9.5 and believe I should have gotten a size 10 in the 260 V2. You indicate the F-Lite also runs a bit 'short' but is also wider than the 260 V2. Not sure if the wider will address the running short problem? You also indicate you feel stable in the F-Lite. I find this interesting because lateral stability was one aspect of the 260 V2 I found to be lacking. Overall, and as you state, the F-Lite seems to be a slightly wider version of the 260 V2. Despite being so lite and feeling great on my feet, I simply find it to always take a backseat to other shoe options available to me. . . Metcon 8 still king.
Eh, I'd still size them up. Based on my use cases and the feedback I've received from others buying Inov8 shoes through That Fit Friend Shop, sizing up tends to be a safe bet for medium/wide feet.
Traveling will be solid, damp climates...hit or miss. The upper may not be the best for resisting water since it's lighter weight. Plus, the exposed foam at the forefoot may take on some water, too! That said, could work, but def not a foolproof model for that context
@thatfitfriend Cheers mate! Would you do a video for the best shoes for traveling? I'm looking for a pair of shoes that I can do a lot of walking in (while still looking good), with occasional/random hikes, and usually in damp/rainy climates. I like the wide toe box, low-drop (but not zero drop), and high arch of the f-lites. They only seem to lack some weather proofing.
@@thatfitfriend Lems Kourt in white. I've hiked several mountains in them, traveled to many countries in them, and have attended weddings in them. They're so sturdy and easy to dress with anything and anywhere. My problem with them is that I need arch support, and even though they're wide they're not anatomically shaped and I don't like how they taper in at the big toe (they increased my ankles pronation), and lastly I would like some heel drop to alleviate the tension from the ankles when walking long distances all day long.
Hi Jake, I really like running in firm shoes, even for longer distances. Do you think the outsole would survive miles of running on road? (Just road so no need for lugs, but just interested in whether the rubber type is soft and therefore indoor only?) Many thanks! 🙏
I think they'd be fine! The split in the forefoot is my only concern, but in past Inov8 models I've tested, it hasn't been a big concern so I'd expect these to perform similarly long-term!
@@thatfitfriend I’ve just realised Inov8 has a new(ish) road running shoe out that fits the bill for me. So I think getting the F-lite for gym and Roadfly for running could be a good move. I used to be a huge fan of Inov8 for trail running shoes but they had some QC issues a few years back which put me off the brand (in my opinion). I’m ready to give them another go now. Fingers crossed.
Best Hyrox shoes for plantar fascitis?
does the f-lite max have the same issue regarding arch support as the F-lite that you mentioned?

Let's go! Love hearing that and thank you for the update. Haha, if I can help at all - I'll take it!

Would they work for traveling and/or walking in colder/wetter climates?

@ I have a travel video but those shoes aren’t necessarily weather and hike proof. That’s a great idea, though.
What do you wear currently?
