    If I was offered a larger panel I would’ve found out my partner and I were carriers of ataxia telangiectasia and my daughter wouldn’t have to live a severely debilitating life. I think it should be standard in this point. Just because many of these diseases are incredibly rare doesn’t mean we should just push aside the possibility of it. It was a huge shock to the system and heartbreaking. I love my daughter to death and I’m happy to have her but if we had known before conceiving her we would’ve made different plans for safely conceiving.
