- Today's video I headed over to Eastern Washington to go trout fishing with Bill and Jarrod, and man did we have a day! The trout fishing was incredible, and we were catching them on some techniques you're really going to want to know about. One of the most beautiful places to fish in WA. Were you able to spot any of the BigHorn Sheep on the canyon sidewalls?
Seen them there many time before as I go to that area 4-5 times a year just to enjoy the spectacular beauty which is so easily seen and accessed from the road.

I can say I appreciate that a boat full of guys who have caught thousands and thousands of fish apiece still have a great time just being out on the river and catchin a few trout! Pretty cool and it shows the passion all u guys have for the sport! Herzog has caught more fish than half the state and Jared and Jordan are mean sticks too! Might I suggest a couple things I haven't seen the Addicted guys do yet?? Lahontan cutthroat and Brown's in small streams on rooster tails or sculpin jigs? I'm sure you can figure out where to go but if you want suggestions hit me with a pm!

I love Yakima rooster tails! They’re my go to every time I’m on the river. Unfortunately I live in a tiny town and have to pay out the nose for them on Amazon but it’s worth it for the hook ups :)

Nice vid fellas. Salmon and steelhead are cool but trout fishing is my jam. Love that I can grab a rod and a tackle box small enough that it can fit in a jacket pocket and go knock em dead all day long. So much easier than packing around multiple rods, a backpack full of gear, needing to throw on the waders and drive to a certain river to find good water and opportunity.

A lot of eastern Washington and eastern Oregon rivers are filled with red band rainbows too. Some are anadromous that turn into steelhead others are resident. Nice video!

Hell yeah in my home river! I love running beads through there. Sometimes you get lucky and enjoy the strength of a nice steelheads.
Love the okuma ultralights! Just landed a 6ibs hatchery coho on my SST UL crazy fight !!! But this looks soooooo fun need to try this!

I am lovin' this channel ! You guys are my fave. Literally ! I have learned so much as an angler. I have been through a lot of unnecessary crap this past 2 years on top of covid and I have to say tour Channel has been some sunshine in my life. Wished I was there hanging with you guys and or working in the shop, etc. Unbelievable ! If it's not yet, this channel will be the most popular channel for fishing or this type of fishing one day.

Loved the channel, watch it all the time. Gotta address the "Chicago Style" thing though lol. Ultimately, it comes down to preference, but for the real experience, someone would put relish OR pickle spear, because the Chicago Classic is already a pretty stacked dog. You're missing onion, tomato, cucumber and celery salt.
An Authentic, Original, Chicago Classic Recipe from the Suburbs of 1940's Chicago--
This was the recipe that was adopted by most Hot Dog places, famously, SuperDawg. They obviously did their own twist, but at home cookouts, the following is how the people in my grandma's neighborhood made it when she was growing up.
Bun-
1/4" slice of cucumber, halved. Placed on opposite sides of the bun, on opposing ends,
1/4" slice of tomato, halved. Placed across from the onion slice.
Place Dog.
Onion. Place on the left side.
Pickle Spear or Relish. Placed on the right side. Usually Chicago Style Relish
Ketchup.
Mustard.
Celery Salt.
Enjoy...

Most lakes are frozen over in the winter.. gotta drill a hole and bring something hot to drink.

I have used hair jigs for smallmouth. I guess I should try them for trout as well.
A few years back gunnar brammer put out a series of videos on TH-cam covering basic tying patterns for ultralight jigs. This one looks pretty similar to the leech pattern. I believe it he called it his spin jig series. They are a nice resource for newbies wanting to try tying their own stuff.
That is unless Mr. Herzog has his own tying videos.

Super cool to you guys try twitching for trout! Been doing it for years and it outperforms everything. Got a 27" Sea run cutthroat on one in a wild mountain lake. Nothing like jigs.

I was like it that, (the river)? The train was the giveaway, I've camped along that river for 25 years. Heard the trout fishing is good, I go over for work in a week or so to lay brick there. Go Wildcats!
Beautiful fish. Buddy just caught a nice Michigan steelhead the other day its spots pronounced and the chrome on her was outstanding along with the beautiful iridescent stripe amazing looking fish.
