Well, actually they were playing a game that players can create different typos using that string with each other one by one until someone makes it into a mess or the string looses that couldn’t make a shape. It’s a fun ( I think, cause I like it ) game for children in Asia.
@@meow_aranran that’s one scene from the children sequence- it’s called “cats cradle” it’s a nod to the song seven on the last album, but the recurring thread of gold is a reference to invisible string
@@chokedonthedust I don't feel it that way, is easy to understand the lyrics and the feelings she wanted to put in the song, but we cannot obligate ourselves to enjoy something just because Taylor did it and actually, I don't think she made it to be enjoyable
Yes! In the previous album, she talks about an "invisible string" which turns into a gold string bringing her and someone together. I think this is an ode to that.
A lot of Taylor’s songs are connected by some sort of thing this song I think is connected to invisible string which is connected to cardigan and willow because they both show strings in the videos (it’s just a theory I have)
the golden thread might be also symbolizing the connection of evermore to folklore. the young taylor with a boy in the tent is a reference from her song seven, the box glass where she's trapped and singing to people but no one noticed is a reference to mirrorball where she sang "spinning in my highest heels love shining just for you."
That was my theory about the video. It started as a continuation from cardigan, where the song was about Betty being cheated on by James. And the video was about how music has always been there for Taylor. And I think it incorporates the song Invisible streams about how there's always something needing Taylor to her new love so. And I think this video combines all of that with the invisible string and her music always being there for Taylor to lead her to where she is now happy and in love
I’ve poked through some screenshots of Taylor answering questions in the chat before the premiere, and apparently the video was supposed to represent the four seasons, and her being in the glass box represents her thoughts on fame. Great reaction as always!
Okay these are my deductions, I could be completely off, but this is what I could gather- 1) Starts with a golden string-reference to Invisible string , "All along there were some invisible strings tying you to me" 2) At 0:27 , the ground has some purple flowers- I'm going to guess those are wisteria. She mentions them in The Lakes, "I want to watch wisteria grown right over my bare feet" 3) At 1:15 , she enters a box curiously wearing a beautiful ball gown type of dress. I'm assuming this is her coming into the spotlight with her song "Love Story". She observes everyone from the inside and starts playing the song to entertain everyone - mirror ball reference, I'm assuming. It's also when she's playing that she sees the guy. And it's the guy that approaches her, which makes her curious about him. Again, Taylor was badly slut shamed, and was the butt of the joke about being the crazy girlfriend. 4) At 1:50 , they try to hold hands but the box is in between them. Again, her fame and popularity is coming between them. She also sings "They count me out, time and time again". She feels sad and tries to leave, but finds that the box is sealed shut. She can't escape directly. 5)At 2:00 , she finds a secret door. This is obviously her disappearing from the spotlight through unconventional ways. Reminds me of the time she left in a huge box in order to avoid being papped. This is the pre reputation era. Isolates herself. Completely leaves everyone. 6) At 2:08 , she walks out wearing a cloak. This for me is her entering Reputation era(my favv) Also to be noted is that she is the onyl one not wearing a mask, meaning she's being honest about who she is. 7) At 2:20 , she observes the ritual that they're performing. And she sees the power that it yields. And she joins in at 2:33. This is her rep era Taylor who was not afraid of opening her mouth about the things that happened with her. The one name that clearly comes to my mind is Scooter. 8) At 2:50 , she sees the golden string again. Reminded of jer relationship. Leaves the cult and follows it alone. She's done with the drama. 9) At 3:00 , the hero removes his mask. I feel like it's either hinting at the met ball- where they met for the first time or it's him realizing that she's ready to leave everything behind for him. 10) She comes back to her cottage in the end and finds the guy waiting for her. Again, I'm assuming the cottage is like a private, safe space where they bonded. They finally hold hands, meaning they're happy together. 11) The final scene is my absolute favourite because it shows them walking out holding hands in the bright light. I think it means that they're comfortable enough with each other to go out into the spotlight together. Also might be a reference to "Daylight" from Lover❤ I'm pretty sure half of these things are completely wrong, but I remember Taylor saying that she likes hiding easter eggs in her stuff. She likes making it more than music. That's why I had to do it. This is def my favourite song. :)❤
Thank you for taking the time to write this!! when I read the 6th point I immediately made the connection with ready for it, and the paralel between singing alone with the piano vs singing for the industry that she shows in both songs.
Lava? No No No. Invisible String.---- Tent scene harkens back to Seven. ---- The fire scene; "Women like hunting witches too" ---- Hey! You got the string reference. Nice! Love your reactions.

A lot is going on on this album, I need your analysis of evermore to know exactly what's happening with the production and vocals ! Plz do one when u have time for it 😍
i feel like when she sees the cult doing the practices she watches it nd then joins it its a metaphor for how beacause everyone was doing something she joined iit too and for a long time she was just doing wut everyone expected her to do but then she left the cult indicating that shes now gunna go do her own thing.
Love it, and I’m waiting for the album reaction 🥰 I started listening to the production of songs more carefully since I watched your videos. It’s really fun to find those details in a song
While not my favorite on the album, “closure” is sonically-unique... it’s in 5/4 (I believe) and mixes some very different sounds. I like it because I enjoy seeing her experimenting with sounds that don’t traditionally mix together.
Can't wait 2C n your thoughts on "Marjorie"..it's about her maternal grandmother who was an opera singer. In fact her grandmother's vocals are credited as background vocals. I listened twice as at end I saw it credited marjorie. Initially I thought it was a string instrument as the vocals they placed in a way ur not immediately aware it could be vocals. Beautiful song especially for those of us who have lost a loved one. ❤️😭
Guess what, Folklore was released on my sisters birthday and Evermore was released on my brothers birthday!! I have a very ridiculous theory that probably isn’t real, my sister is best friends with Taylor AFTER my birthday and she told her about her birthday and my brothers birthday as well, it wasn’t going to be my birthday soon enough so she doesn’t know yet, if she releases an album on my birthday i’m gonna rely only this theory forever though it probably isn’t real
I think you'll really enjoy 'cowboy like me'. It elevates the second half of the album. It'd be fun seeing you understand its message/imagery as well as the layers of the vocals in that song. A career highlight for sure.
Hope you could react to the whole album evermore it is really interesting....!!!!track 5 t tolerate it....champagne problems..marjorie..evermore... Nobody o crime and its the season!!!!!but the whole album no words!!!!proud to be a swiftie!!!!!!!

My top songs:
1.entire evermore album
2.entire folklore album
3.the rest of the art by Taylor
Cats : 😃
i think you’ll find closure very interesting due to the time signature
Also tolerate it has, i think, a 5/4 time signature
I didn't like closure 😟 lyrically speaking is amazing but the times and the beats were very overwhelming

The storytelling is absolutely stunning! It gives me “Why women kill” vibe~

Taylor: That's my man🎶

She literally went from vocal reacting to finding easter eggs 😂
Willow,
No body,no crime
Gold rush🤗🤗
