I had to borrow my dad's debit card to make sure I could back it in time, but it was no problem getting him to agree once I told him a true story: When I was 5 or 6 years old I was at a dept store called Twin Fair with my parents. They had the original Hoi Polloi for something like $5.95-$6.95. I begged him to buy me a copy, but he wouldn't budge. I've wanted the Hoi Polloi ever since, and thanks to you I'll now have one! 😃

I heard you have plans for a Black Velvet version! I have collected black velvet paintings and I love them and a Black Velvet version of the Hoi Polloi would be fantastic! So you have my support for that project too!
There may be a black version in the future. I made it with old velvet Elvis painting in mind. I’ve always wanted a velvet Elvis. One day I’ll find the perfect one 😁
Hi Brant this is a fun journey to be on with you. I always make the joke in Live videos with the tarot group that we are Moon Babies. Here's why; The origins of the tarot are spiritual and the mystical secret knowledge passed down was hidden in the pictures on cards. The Spiritual people who passed the secret knowledge were very peaceful and loving. Then The Hoi Paloi was like 70"s peace love peeps. So, I decided we are these same peeps. ☮💜💙💚💛🧡( just for fun of course)
For the especially eagle-eyed amongst you, Brant has been made aware that there is a typo in the “Cards that tell people about themselves and their future” on the box and the missing “of” on the Six of Swords. These will be corrected on the final deck.
I only backed your project because I heard that there would be shrimp recipe inserts in the package. Well maybe I heard what I wanted to hear in my head. But either way, I am still in...lol. Seriously, congratulations Brant.

Hi Brant, I'm so glad the Kickstarter is going well. May I ask: what is your strategy for making 600+ (!!) hand-sewn, hand-dyed spread cloths?

I’ve worked out a system. There was a learning curve but I can comfortably tie and dye about 60-90 per day. It’s fun though! 😁

Why are some of the labels on the top and others on the bottom?
That’s they way it is in the original Hoi Polloi.
