Vanessa treats Nick with such love, respect and appreciation which unfortunately Jess didn't have. Though he seemed to love Jess much more passionately, who can blame him for giving up loving someone like that again after such a massive heartache Jess gave him?
He will never be over Jess especially since she left him. He looked at Jess totally difd than he looks at Vanessa. You can totally tell that she is more into him than he is into her. No one will replace Jess; its obvious.

Vanessa on the other hand was a teenage Miss South Carolina in a beauty contest. She was beautiful/gorgeous then & is still just as beautiful/gorgeous now. That's exactly why her & Nick make beautiful children.
