The main highlights of any tourist would be Manila Cathedral - Plaza Roma - San Agustin Church - Casa Manila, they should beautify those areas with European Style Lamp post and beautiful gardens, I was there last december Plaza Roma needs major beautifications.

the intramuros administration and the philippine government should mandate the renovation of the facades to architecture pre-1941. they should reconstruct the fort santiago as it were before it was destroyed in 1941. they should also install trams/streetcars and remove utility poles and put them underground. they should turn it to the european style city manila was in the 1930s. this is possible and it has been done in several european cities, notably dresden
We’ll both be long dead and buried before we see anything close to what Intramuros looked like. They should’ve thought about doing all the restoration since the beginning. There are photos of after the war of two other churches that survived the bombings in Intramuros, but the American Army tore them down due to “structural” instability which I believe is a lie. They were probably ordered by the church owners at the time to tear them down cause it was probably going to cost more to restore them.
It’s a big lie that San Agustin church was the only church to survive the bombing. San Francisco Church and I believe Santo Domingo Church were still standing, but heavily damaged.
