Haha I thought you were getting controversial comments :p So what I know on this is that the director never said he was possessed, he just said that he has lived and experienced these practices his whole life so that's why he could do the role better than anyone else and also he always felt a positive energy which kinda pushed him to give that amazing performance. The possession thing is just an opinion of the guy on The Ranveer Show.

Sometimes you should only see the full movie and then talk about it. Not, hear bullshit like possession from god knows who. I'm an Indian. I would like to tell you, he was not possessed. In Shetty's customs we have mostly same things. As he has seen the bhoota kola while growing up. He has an idea of what to do and how to do. Stop using the trf as reference and watch the full movie.
