  • The paraglider energy stays low because the low forward speed, and it can be B-stalled with little effort - and held there with one hand. The free hand can be used to steer the Beamer.
Change direction to the left or right with only one brake line: The opposite, pre-braked steering line remains in its position. This means that the beamer always pulls in one direction and can be steered in both directions via the opposite steering line and with just one hand.

Well executed. For a regular pilot to have a chance of controlling and steering so well is practicing in an SIV essential? What happens if you B line much later, does it get messier and harder to control?

@@andrewmisplon as far as I know, there is no point trying to flare (symmetrically) on a Beamer, it does not convert, maybe slows a little but maybe increases sink. The tiny change in sink rate at the end is just random, going into slightly smoother air close to the ground perhaps. There's so much interference from the PG. I'd never try to flare on one brake alone, that would just induce roll. The takeaway from this is that the sink rate with a paraglider attached and twists is around 4m/s which is very good compared to what you'll get on most other reserve systems.

PS what soft added flight info, like speed, altitude etc on video?

Hi. Thanks. The software is called Dashware and can be downloaded from this link: www.dashware.net. I record the flight data with the Sensbox from Flytec.
