Normally I would agree to this bc I think, by his amazing standards over the years as holding DM for Barca, has been amazing. This season we’re now noticing something about his quality bc he’s been so consistent that something is different. I don’t think it’s his fault however, with the arrival of Frank, his position might be up for grabs. This is great news bc it allows Sergio to give his best knowing that his position is in jeopardy. And Frank is having a hell of a season. This season as a Barca fan everyone should focus on our Midfield. Arthur Melo, Frank de Jong, Vidal, Sergio Busquets, Sergio Roberto, Ruqui. Those positions are gonna be fought. Edit: oh fuck and Rakitic... lol

Bro both are completely different player. I feel sorry for you. Busquets is a deep lying playmaker. While Kante a proper CDM, ball winner, work horse. Completely different roles. But Kante has shown great ability to adapt his game and now is more attacking than he used to be. So can't really compare them as they play different roles. Maybe compare Jorginho, Xhaka, Pirlo....

In my eyes busquets is good as xavi and iniesta simply because he's so complete.. he can defend he can pass as good as them, he actually has amazing long shots he just doesn't do it much, the way he breaks pressure is just the best u can ever ask for.. if busquets was faster/more balanced in his body type he would be one of the best dribblers too.. just look at those dribbles on the spot all he has to do is making 1 move and 3 players are behind and all of that on 0 speed lol, i agree nowdays he's not good at defending because he just can't keep up with the agility and speed of players but he's still the genius player he always has been.. People are saying it was busquets worst season and I kinda agree by his standards it was, but so it was for coutinho,rakitic,Roberto and Suarez. The problem is busquets has been running the most and playing the most for us for this past decade. A alternative player should have been bought 2 years back so that he could have taught him his tricks and he could have been phased out like the rest. But the board didn't even bother to buy one. And the system doesn't help him either by having no width,no triangles, no quick passing interchanges between the midfield because of lack of athleticism and flair in midfield. Ndombele is good really good but can he dictate the tempo like busquets? No, can we replace busquets? Maybe but it's really difficult. Hope we find a way to replace this Gem of a player.
He is still have 2-4 world class seasons in him, and he wasn't bad this season, by his standards poor, but still miles ahead of Fernandinho, Casemiro, Jorginho... Only Fabinho and Dombele is in his league this season!!! He just needs arthur and not Rakitic and Vidal to play next to him, when Arthur doesn't play its like he plays DM, Cm while Videal and Rakitic just stand waitng for him to pass a ball to Messi or Suarez, they don't help him, they dont open, so passive!!! Barca needs a better coach!!!
Can't have everything at once. And most clubs can't afford to do what Barca does. They got De Jong. Only after 3-4 years did they finally get a backup for Jordi Alba. Little guy has been running the length of the pitch in all competitions. Suarez did not have a bad season. 2nd top scorer in the league and 2nd most goals+assists. Second only to Messi.
