I've been podcasting for almost 5 years. I started with the ATR 2100 and use the same exact mic for this entire time. I've been very happy with it for both my shows and multiple live streams and zoom meetings. I'm excited to say, I just got a Blue Yeti for Christmas from my boys. I can't wait for my listeners to experience the difference. Thanks for the tips Krystal. You're awesome.
You're a cutie pie. Love your video here. Been searching for a while now for some body to explain to me how to set it up and you're the first person I finally found someone. You're a breath of fresh air ✨️ 💕
Hello! When you're recording and using the mic, are you able to hear your voice in real-time in the mic when you talk? And if so, is there a certain setting you had to use so you could? I have a mic but cannot hear my voice in the mic without a headset on! I hope that question makes sense! Thank you :)
Yes, your question does make sense. Unfortunately, you won’t hear real-time feedback from the mic unless you’re plugged directly into the mic or your audio editing software.
Thanks for the video. This microphone is simply amazing. It sounds great. I was wondering if someone could use this microphone for a work type environment like talking to their clients? I work from home and I use my cell phone to talk to customers all day long. Could I use this and plug in head phones in the head phone jack and talk to customers?
Thank you Krystal! I am on episode 68 of my podcast. The first 67 were ATR 2100 or whatever the darn model number is. But my boyfriend gave me this Blue Yeti and I am very excited. Thanks for your help.
I just bought the blue yeti blacked out version with the logitech camera. I connected a pair of sony 110NC headphones to the yeti and I'm running it through an Iphone 11 pro Max using the apple lightning to USB connector. I'm using the Anchor app for my very first podcast ever. I'm scared and don't know what I'm doing. I guess i'll just press record and see what transpires LOL
I thought this video was gonna show how the mic works, do we all record off laptops and plug the mic into a laptop while recording with a canon camera with a rode mic on it or what? 🤔 I just got one yesterday and im completely lost, i plan on recording videos with my Canon Camera with a road mic and use this mic in my video for the podcasting
Clear, concise and great info for starting to use a Blue Yeti or starting podcasting at all! This was the first Mic I purchased because it was on an open-package deal on Amazon (and Angie Lee recommended it & had a link to it on her IG stories). But I purchased it back in 2019 and here I am end of February 2021 and just learning how to use this thing! This was really helpful info! I will be watching more of your videos as this is my first podcast I will be starting in March. Thanks so much!
Oh yay, Tiffany! I'm so happy you found this video helpful! 🙌 Feel free to drop any specific questions you have in the comments! (I answer ALLLLL of them!) 😉
Hi, great video and amazing crisp quality recording. What software are you using to record it into and how you editing? I am using filmora and my recording is terrible and about to throw the blue yeti in the bin.
I am thinking about getting one but I am not sure about the setup with my laptop, phone, webcam I am trying to figure it out so i do not buy tons of equipment that i don't need.
I'd recommend checking out @melaniedyann's channel for setup with your camera and mic together - she's my live-streaming / video guru! 😉 th-cam.com/channels/oOsZOQw8se4-ZH0-YSnP9w.html
This is incredibly helpful, thank you! I've had my Yeti for a while for my Facebook live streams but I rarely end up using it. Now that I'm starting my podcast I need audio to be on point.
Thanks Krystal This is very helpful I haven't bought this Yeti Mic, but I've been contemplating on buying it I haven't started my solo podcast yet. I just subscribed to your channel. I appreciate your expertise and your willingness to show us your experiences etc

I just got a Yeti to try to do voiceovers. As soon as I plug it in, my computer speakers mute, how the hell do I use this thing? My video editing program Wondershare doesn't recognize the Yeti, it says no audio device ...
@@KrystalProffitt I figured it out. Wondershare didn't see the Yeti, when I first plugged it in. Logged out of Wondershare, when I went back in it then picked up the Yeti. After that, I just had to play with the Wondershare voiceover tab, and got it worked out. Still at the most basic level of course. A lot of details to learn still.
You can see all of the recording patterns here on the Yeti site: www.bluemic.com/en-us/products/yeti/ It would depend on where the people talking are positioned to the mic. I hope that helps! 🌟

Is the Blue yeti your first podcast mic? Or are you upgrading from another microphone?
First
I just upgraded to the Yeti today. I had a Maono and I needed a better quality sound.
