This is what all the other people were doing before they fell to their deaths there. This view was not worth it , you can't follow your dreams when you're dead . People have been traveling since people existed. No one waited around for technology before leaving home to explore their world. And, it hardly qualifies as God-inspired advice to tell people to go visit world-famous tourist destinations. It is as if you think you are the first person to ever stand on a cliff, talking to people who you assume have never seen a cliff. It is at once irritating and hilarious to hear you narcissistically presume that others do not follow their dreams and that, because you looked over the edge of a cliff that people have looked over for thousands of years, you now have some special insight to set them free. This is what happens when someone can not handle their adrenaline high.

Was it your dream to stand on the edge of a cliff at the GC? I’m thinking God wants us to follow our dreams, however I’m thinking He doesn’t want us to take such risk for a photo. Certainly He still needs to use you for His Will because your life was spared such a death. Being in the beauty of His creation was a dream come true in itself. I’ve been a risk taker my entire life and can understand the desire for what you did. I will say that being in my 50”s and the older I get, I’m much much more careful. I recently took a challenging photo at The Joshua Tree on top of the arched rocks. My husband was so pissed. Actually did fall coming down.

Idiots, or the families of deceased idiots, do try to sue, but rarely get anywhere. Also, it's federal court. As for my remark, the Park Service does put up railings in places that are exceptionally dangerous, such as above waterfalls, some overlooks a particular thermal feature. But for the most part visitors are on their own. Like the idiot who jumped the railing.
There are some good, inspirational TH-cam influencers, this is not one of them. Best view is with a drone and done from a safe distance and not from risk takers that could influence others to their death.
I went to the Grand Canyon alone back in 1998, and did some risky climbing with my 35mm camera, and then spent the rest of the day hiking to the bottom of the canyon on Bright Angel Trail to the Colorado River, crossed the suspension bridge and spent the night at Phantom Ranch.... The next day, it took me 12 hours to hike back up, mainly because I spent a lot of time looking around and stopping for pictures.==== In my life, I have been in 48 states, The eitire Eastern Canada (soon to explore Central $ Western Canada).... Many places in Mexico, and over a dozen Cruises to the Western & Eastern Caribbean Sea..... Someday, I will tour Europe, but I'm still young.
Thats cool bro, thanks for sharing! If you have to go alone take a locator becon with you. When you flip the switch search and rescue will come. Always pray for wisdom before heading out and when things dont feel right turn back. I have only hiked western Canada once and it does have a different vibe then here. Not creepy persay but it felt like I was being watched. Anyway the largest number of missing hikers and hunters is up that way so check out Canada America missing project here on youtube to find the cluster zones of missing people and just hike clear of those. Yosemite is number 1 in the world and British Columbia is number two. But he hones in exact locations to show you the specific areas. His Channel is canam missimg project. Also a sister church in Washington just had a little girl badly mauled by a mountain lion. So always have a 10 mm on your hip esp in grizzly county. Dave carries bear spray and his 10 mm because bear spray doesn’t always work. Check out his channel though. Just skip the ones that say news and watch the ones that say where you are gonna hike. After 30+ years of traveling America, I have been in 48 states & half of Canada where I have re-visited most states many times over & over, so I basically have the country almost memorized.... I traveled the entire country in the 80's & 90's when no one had cell phones, and no one had GPS either, so I used a paper map, road signs & I used the SUN in the sky to determine North, East, South & West.... So traveling the country in the 2000's, 10's & 20's was quite simple, so it's impossible for me to get lost no matter where in the country I am... I may miss a road or two, but I always find my way around with no technology.... Just my own notions & experience.... I do see the benefits of a Beacon, but I doubt I will spend the money on it.
Thats hardcore. I got lost once tracking dear through the swamp. It was scary seeing you walked in a giant circle as the sun was going down. After I felll in the water and was shivering in 50 degrees I realized I was screwed. Luckily I wasn’t that far from my truck and when I whistled for my doberman to come get me or show me the right direction i heard a crashing through the woods and my white argintine mastiff came and knocked me down which was a miracle because he was always to scared to jump out of my truck on his own. He must have known I needed help. Life saver. I may not have died but with no fire light and soaking wet as the temperature was dropping like a rock I could have been severely frostbiten. Nope. There are NO 7000' cliffs in the GC! I cant find a definitive measurement, but it is less than 2000 for the highest - and that is NOT accessible to the general public - and is on the North Rim. This view is from the South Rim. Go to Black Canyon or Santa Elena for impressive vertical walls.
Good point. Life is about risk reward! How much risk are we willing to take for a perceived reward. When I was told I would have cancer spread through my body and be on my death bed in 90 days if I didn’t allow them to cut off my testicle and start chemo. This is when I appreciated that testosterone more then any time in my life. After crying for 3 days I used that same testosterone to fight my fears, trust God and begin a 4 month juice fast till the cancer was gone. My family didn’t agree and many thought I was crazy so it was a lonely four months without food. But the risk reward paid off because I just had my first baby little girl 6 months ago. We also just found out we are pregnant again. So following God, using “testosterone” to over come fear for an higher expected reward can be life changing! My family my wife and my little girl are all very happy I didn’t have surgery and chemo and risked trusting my faith in God!

Ive been to the Grand Canyon twice. Once on the west rim and once on the south rim. You have to be completely brain dead to go the edge and accidentally fall off.

It’s at the south room I believe it’s the park you just have to keep walking to the right most people didn’t have water bottles so they kind of stayed around the main section people they had water bottles kind of went further out towards the end once you come in through the park entrance and you get to the rim just keep walking to the right for like 20 minutes

I went to the Grand Canyon alone back in 1998, and did some risky climbing with my 35mm camera, and then spent the rest of the day hiking to the bottom of the canyon on Bright Angel Trail to the Colorado River, crossed the suspension bridge and spent the night at Phantom Ranch.... The next day, it took me 12 hours to hike back up, mainly because I spent a lot of time looking around and stopping for pictures.==== In my life, I have been in 48 states, The eitire Eastern Canada (soon to explore Central $ Western Canada).... Many places in Mexico, and over a dozen Cruises to the Western & Eastern Caribbean Sea..... Someday, I will tour Europe, but I'm still young.
Thats cool bro, thanks for sharing! If you have to go alone take a locator becon with you. When you flip the switch search and rescue will come. Always pray for wisdom before heading out and when things dont feel right turn back. I have only hiked western Canada once and it does have a different vibe then here. Not creepy persay but it felt like I was being watched. Anyway the largest number of missing hikers and hunters is up that way so check out Canada America missing project here on youtube to find the cluster zones of missing people and just hike clear of those. Yosemite is number 1 in the world and British Columbia is number two. But he hones in exact locations to show you the specific areas. His Channel is canam missimg project. Also a sister church in Washington just had a little girl badly mauled by a mountain lion. So always have a 10 mm on your hip esp in grizzly county. Dave carries bear spray and his 10 mm because bear spray doesn’t always work. Check out his channel though. Just skip the ones that say news and watch the ones that say where you are gonna hike. @@J7innovation... Thanks for replying... but I never had a GPS or a Becon ever in my life, not even today.... After 30+ years of traveling America, I have been in 48 states & half of Canada where I have re-visited most states many times over & over, so I basically have the country almost memorized.... I traveled the entire country in the 80's & 90's when no one had cell phones, and no one had GPS either, so I used a paper map, road signs & I used the SUN in the sky to determine North, East, South & West.... So traveling the country in the 2000's, 10's & 20's was quite simple, so it's impossible for me to get lost no matter where in the country I am... I may miss a road or two, but I always find my way around with no technology.... Just my own notions & experience.... I do see the benefits of a Beacon, but I doubt I will spend the money on it.
Thats hardcore. I got lost once tracking dear through the swamp. It was scary seeing you walked in a giant circle as the sun was going down. After I felll in the water and was shivering in 50 degrees I realized I was screwed. Luckily I wasn’t that far from my truck and when I whistled for my doberman to come get me or show me the right direction i heard a crashing through the woods and my white argintine mastiff came and knocked me down which was a miracle because he was always to scared to jump out of my truck on his own. He must have known I needed help. Life saver. I may not have died but with no fire light and soaking wet as the temperature was dropping like a rock I could have been severely frostbiten. Nope. There are NO 7000' cliffs in the GC! I cant find a definitive measurement, but it is less than 2000 for the highest - and that is NOT accessible to the general public - and is on the North Rim. This view is from the South Rim. Go to Black Canyon or Santa Elena for impressive vertical walls.
Good point. Life is about risk reward! How much risk are we willing to take for a perceived reward. When I was told I would have cancer spread through my body and be on my death bed in 90 days if I didn’t allow them to cut off my testicle and start chemo. This is when I appreciated that testosterone more then any time in my life. After crying for 3 days I used that same testosterone to fight my fears, trust God and begin a 4 month juice fast till the cancer was gone. My family didn’t agree and many thought I was crazy so it was a lonely four months without food.
But the risk reward paid off because I just had my first baby little girl 6 months ago.
We also just found out we are pregnant again. So following God, using “testosterone” to over come fear for an higher expected reward can be life changing!
No matter how many people leave a negative comment on my video I made cancer free.
Try some calculated risk to increase your reward it could be life changing.
My family my wife and my little girl are all very happy I didn’t have surgery and chemo and risked trusting my faith in God!

Ive been to the Grand Canyon twice. Once on the west rim and once on the south rim. You have to be completely brain dead to go the edge and accidentally fall off.

It’s at the south room I believe it’s the park you just have to keep walking to the right most people didn’t have water bottles so they kind of stayed around the main section people they had water bottles kind of went further out towards the end once you come in through the park entrance and you get to the rim just keep walking to the right for like 20 minutes
