For me you can't beat a Nexus 320 running Gravity fed, also when used in conjunction with a K1 Advanced filter off the skimmer line the water is amazing ! Great how to video Tim, very well explained 👏
I love my gravity fed Nexus. As you say, very therapeutic to clean. I love watching the waste rush in from the bottom drain when you reopen the ball valve. For that reason I always clean twice; like you suggest. For me, there is too much to go wrong on a drum.
Hi Have you an opinion about the small pressurised drum filter.. I have had a cloverleaf for years and is just beginning to split on the seems.. Wondered if things had moved on successfully.. Can’t afford a nexus unfortunately.. Let me know your thoughts.. Love all your videos .cheers
Great video. How far could I take the waste pipe. Basically have no drain where I want to put the nexus but my house drain is a top of garden. I was thinking I could attach a long flexible pipe to the waste and run it to the drain at top of garden. It’s around 25-30 feet away
How did you switch the air off to the outer chamber I didn't see you close the valve, can you leave the air on to the outer chamber while cleaning? Thanks for the educational video 👍
Hello Dear After watching your couple of videos I have decided to get one Nexus 320 on coming Saturday. But I have pump fed pond without bottom drain. Can I connect it with the existing system Oase proficlear premium trommelfiltermodul... What do you think? Thanks
Should I be taking the lid of my inner chamber and giving it a good stir about? to clean it more thoroughly, is this wrong? As my media In The middle chamber is Crystal white even in the outer chamber after six months is still looking perfectly white pretty much. I have added 4 bombs and two lots of EA filter start gel and still not darkening (in last 6 months)
Great video again, tim and paul on the cleaning side. Thanks for the share 👍
something so good about watching a filter clean. thanks for sharing Tim
Perfect timing Tim just had one delivered love the ease of maintaining a Nexus, thanks for the vid

Nexus' are great I've had mine now for 7 years.
And it still looks like new?
Almost new. Haven't cleaned the walls in a year. These water snails keep the nexus looking clean😅

I’ve never heard of a pressurised drum filter
Thanks Tim. My 220 is still going strong. I love cleaning it as you say it's therapeutic. Do you back flush your shop ones at all or not bother ?
Sometimes mate 👍

As along as it’s going downhill to the drain I don’t think it matters
@@TimWaddington thanks for the reply. It would be going up a slight gradient. Could a cheap pump be used to pump it to the drain.
@@connoryoung8425 yes you could use an inline pump and turn on when you waste
Love my 320 im pump fed ...... at min
What's the second smaller dump valve for?
To empty the outer chamber 👍

Mine has a slight air leak on one side. I turned the valve off. 👍
@@TimWaddington thank you 👍

I’m really not sure as not familiar with that type of filter, the Nexus will be good tho!
Absolutely filthy................just like mine lol 👍

What size air pump will run the nexus?
I use an Airtech 95 to run the Nexus and bottom drain

The colour means nothing at all mate. I know people who have ran Nexus for 20 years and still white
Thanks
I’m on a water meter, how much water do you lose when you do a clean?
Around 80 gallons.
id just get the pressure washer on it
