    Hi Dani, I have to give you credit for dealing with all those check points just trying to get from one place to another. The amount of petrol you use just sitting at these places is incredible. Thank you for making this such an interesting trip. 👍

      @@RichardParker-hc6dn oh yes, that's something worth mentioning, amount of diesel used for moving in those lines is just beyond science.
      And turning off and on, your engine over and over again does not solving the problem, especially during winter when you want to stay warm inside.

      @@procyon826you brought up really interesting idea.
      technically yes. It depends from truck.
      In Volvo FH (with so called dry webasto, not wet one) you are turning on webasto, when it reaches certain temperature, then it's turning off automatically.
      And then temperature is dropping, and even if you feel cold, but temperature didn't dropped to certain lvl, it's not going to turn on.
      You would have to turn it on manually again, or set higher temperature, which means cooking environment for driver.
      Other thing is, it works kinda loudly at the beginning when it's pushing this air in, and whenever turning on.
      Another thing is, that in Volvo (new models, I'm not sure about old ones) you can't have this hot air coming out from normal vents, just from those special webasto vents.
      In my Mercedes it was different, because hot air from webasto came from normal wents, so it was like normal.
      After all, I personally really don't like to use webasto when I'm stopping and moving stopping and moving.
      And amount of wasted diesel for engine work using neutral gear, from while month, it was 70 liters.
      Some people say it's a lot, some people say it's small amount. It's wasted diesel at the end.
      But it wouldn't be much difference between this and between diesel used by webasto.

      @procyon826 sure. And in summer it's totally different, because A/C must run all the time, otherwise it's instantly around 40 degrees inside 😂 cooking environment instantly. I guess it would take even more diesel during summer, due to air conditioning working all the time.

      @latviabalkanumuzika1514 unfortunately no, there are not so many job offers to drive Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia.
      Who knows maybe one day I will manage to make it work, because I would like to see those countries.
      But if not, then I will just explore them using my motorcycle, it's going to be good enough 😅

    Hey Dani wouldn't it be better if you used a clip on mic when you do your commentary as I think its better to have both hands on the wheel especially when driving something as big and heavy as an HGV !

    These constant bribes are infuriating. They should just implement a mandatory 5€ inspection fee for trucks and use that to pay the staff better wages.

      Yeah, they could do it, but...maybe they will ask for bribes anyway...I don't know their exact salaries, but I think the problem is not always about salary.

      I so have a question if you don’t mind.
      Your driving time and sleeping time. What are the regulations on that.
      Over here we have 11 hours of driving time and, 10 hours of off duty and sleeping time. But we are allowed to be on duty for a total of 14 hours max with driving and non driving. It looks like this. 11 hours of drive time and 3 hours of on duty but not driving totaling 14 hours, but if you spend 5 hours at a shipper you deduct 2 hours from your driving time.
      Do you have something like this.

      @@joec2083 here we have maximum 10h of driving time, twice per week. Normal amount of driving time is just 9h.
      We can drive maximum 4:30h and then we have to take 45min break, and then we can drive another 4:30h. And if we want to drive 10h, instead of 9h, then we have to take another 45min break and then we can use this 10th hour of driving time.
      45min break can be split, into 15min break as a first part, and 30min as a second part.
      So you can drive for example 3h and take 15min break, and then drive remaining 1:30h and take 30min break to have last 4:30min.
      Working time per day is usually 15h. And working time includes driving time.
      For example I'm stuck in traffic for 7 hours. So my driving time in not running out, just working time. But when working time will drop to the same amount as driving time then I'm running out of both.
      15h of working time, -7h in traffic, it means I have 8h of working time and driving time left. Even though I started with 9h or 10h of driving time. In other words, in those 15h of working time, I have to drive 9h or 10h including my break time, if not, then I'm going to run out of it anyway daily.
      Sleeping time, we can have 3x9h of sleeping time. And rest is 11h.
      Weekend rest, normally it's 45h, but it can be short 24h rest, once per two weeks, but if you are abroad then it can be twice 24h, but then in my country I have to take around 60h break. It's really fucked up.

      I have noticed that in Europe you really do not have the type of truck stops that we have here in America. From all the videos I have seen not too many people show truck stops there. In your next video could you show a truck stop in Europe. That would be cool to see. I hit the subscribe button and I will get a notification when you post.       @joec2083 oh yeah, people don't show truck stops because we don't have them....I mean there are so few of let's say real trucks stops. Like: Angel Truck Parking in Hungary, you can Google it. Or Autohof Places in Germany, most of them are available for trucks, but sometimes not. And still, those places will have parking for trucks, toilet maybe with shower. Some shop or only has station. And everything is paid.
      Each country has its own typical truck stops. A bit better is in UK, much better truck infrastructure at truck stops. You can wash clothes etc. the other place where I saw washing machines for truckers, it was Turkish border.
      There are many private truck stops in different countries, it really depends.
