Rainbow Lorikeet

The name says it all coloured like the rainbow. All birds filmed are in the wild on the east coast of Australia. The Red collard bird once thought to be a subspecies is also included. Look for a mosaic variant.

Thanks for educating people about these lovely little parrots diet. Very important. These feisty little Parrots have a very strong personality. We have them everywhere in Sydney. They visit people in the high rise where they get fed everything from fruit to seed. People have what they call Cockatoo Cafes where people at certain times of day invite birds, usually Parrots onto their balconies, window ledges and even inside to feed these birds and spend time with them. I think the lock downs had many people notice for the first time they had creatures with wings living all around them. So it is good to educate what to feed these creatures if at all.

Yes. But qualified - as to what they can catch. The bill isn't exactly designed for catching flight insects but larval forms are on the flowers are always taken.
