Love how this main floor has private walled rooms yet open concept, too! The new fireplace is so beautiful and Chip's chimney carries that brick into the kitchen. Love the improvement to the exterior. This was a huge job!!! So much to upgrade and redo. Would like to see a computer rending of Chip's bar idea but love how it turned out!!!
WOW I absolutely LOVE this house its just beautiful all my kind of style. I just love the old world things around its just beautiful. Well done! Upper Fixer. Love you guys LOVE Australia.
Wish she had listen to him about that bar. That was a great idea and there is more than enough space. I would love to have it if it was my place. Maybe, she could of just run in by with client and offer it as one of idea's so that they could decide. But Chip has some very practical ideas I noticed.
I've researched "2021 Decorating Trends" and read that open floor plans are going out of style. It turns out that people do like to have some privacy that distinct rooms provide. The explanation is that after a year of COVID restrictions and people being home so much they want places where they can have some time by themselves. I've also read that shiplap is going out of style. If a person loves open floor plans and shiplap they should have them. If you're concerned about the resale value of your home it might be smart to look into the new trends.
I live in Waco and am in the trades. These older houses are salvageable because they are usually so well built. It’s almost always just cosmetic fixes but this one needed a little deeper work which I think they did well. You can buy an older home in town cheap and fix it up and have a real nice place.
@@aj402 I live in a more expensive part of the country. I can't believe the big houses on this show that are only $150,000 and the small ones are only $95,000 or less--for example. That'd be nice! The bugs and the climate aren't so great, though.
@@happydays1336 Yep you must like hot weather to live here. I thought Florida had big palmetto bugs but I killed one the other day that was at least 4 inches long. Everything’s bigger in Texas.
The exterior of this remodel disappoints me. It went from a Craftman, to a Cape Cod. Then she lost the fire place's unique charm when it wasn't replicated as she said. Pretty sad...
I was surprised, it seemed like they were just going to move it, not change it. She even said the goal was to incorporate it, because it's special. Huh.
@@L.Spencer Just rewatched this in full and it was to just relocate but keep its elements that made it Craftsman-style. The exterior lost its Craftsman look, and is now clearly Cape Cod. It lost the sheltering appearance and relaxed, wider siding, too. Its nice for Cape Cod. Saddest Craftman ever, though...
He is a geniune person who is so devoted and respectful towards his wife and gives her all the credit.
He says "we", and she says "I".
😂
I love how he respects his wife and her opinions, thats the way men should be. Cheers Everybody. Stay Safe and well-Informed
she really needs to listen to him more and i love how he treats her. Yes i would love that bar he suggested...super cute idea
One of the most amazing designers I have ever seen in my life.❤❤

I’m always amazed that it’s worth keeping the frame/outer structure of these old houses.

Do you know if the family still lives in the house? I saw some of the houses were sold
Chip’s the best!

Where are the house plans these ppl use?
Why do they never add a tv lol
The fireplace rebuild lost its quirkiness. What a shame...

“Quirky” might fit in with Boho style, but it had no place in the more sophisticated design that they were going for.
@@mythoughts7859 just going by what she implied

The guy is so fine
V gorgeous
That living room is small... kind of a weird space. And crammed full of tchotchkes.
