  • This is my first cut back on this Sedge. Fairly easy work. Timing is - before new growth show up. I find it frustrating to remove the dead and ugly amongst the nice green leaves. This keeps the plants neat and tidy. now till end of season!

Mine are in the ground. I didn't know know if I should cut them back, but they look so bad right now. So I found this video. Thanks so much!

Quick question, mine look all yellow and dry. Are they dead? I live in Ontario Canada. So winters are cold.

Probably yes. I have 3 of them. Two in small containers in the video. They started to grow but then a week of snow late February. Those two are now yellow and dry too. The one I have in the landscape and protected by a near by plant, survived and is now sending plenty of flower stalks out. Flower stalks for Carex are like blazes oh grass with brown hairy growth at the end.

Possible but there are other flowers in blooms this time of year. Have you try allergy medication. I have been for many years in Spring

Tak to prawda, teraz dużo roślin pyli. Muszę kupić leki na alergię.
      Dziękuję i pozdrawiam z Polski 😊
