Love how you are taking time to have a good look at things..I always love to look at videos of both Pompeii and Herculanuem ...Would love to visit both sites someday
Hi Christine, thank you! We were very fortunate to have a month to travel around Europe so could take it a bit slower. The “one year trip” is the next goal; stay tuned! 🌹 Anna
Been to both sites in person and it was a joy and an experience to go to them, I don't have an favourite between Herculean and Pompeii they are marvels on their own but it's nice to see how both sites gives you an insight how they were at the time. I was only there in April '23
So glad you also got to see both! I hope you had better weather than we did though, although the rain at Pompeii did add to the drama and emotion of the place and what happened there. I hope the rest of your trip was just as magical! Anna
Nice to watch, thanks for sharing this experience to the persons like me who may not be able to visit these places in person. Your Pompeii video was also great, thanks again
Hi Subhankar, thank you for the feedback! I'm so happy that you enjoyed the Pompeii and Herculaneum videos. It warms my heart as it is exactly why we make these videos; to share adventures with those who may not be able to visit. My one sister is disabled and won't be able to make many of these trips, so part of the effort is to do this so that she can also 'travel'. Happy to have the entire world travel with us via TH-cam!
If you have to choose between Herculaneum and Pompeii, Herculaneum is definitely much better preserved. Herculaneum (Ercolano station) and Pompeii (Pompeii Scavi station) are on the same train line, but Herculaneum is closer to Naples. The downside is that this site does not have the plaster casts of humans that Pompeii is famous for, but it is a lot smaller than Pompeii so much easier to do if you're short on time. Of course, the best option would be to do both! You won't be disappointed!
Hi Wahjoe, thanks for reaching out! We got the GoPro 11 Content Creator kit for this. If you’re out filming all day I suggest a few extra batteries just in case, although the stick and battery lasts really long. We also took a battery pack to charge everything while we had lunch, dinners, etc.
One can almost imagine the people of Herculaneum going about their business. Thanks for showing us this great city in such fine detail. Great video.
Thank you so much Alex, great to hear from you and I’m very happy that you enjoyed it! Anna

What camera did you use for recording Ercolano? It is so clear.
