The pound cake with condensed milk is delicious. I have made it twice, but have found an hour and even 50 minutes too long. Next time I will try checking it at 35-40 minutes.

For any vegans who want to make a tres leches cake, Nature’s Charm makes an amazing condensed coconut milk, condensed oat milk, as well as evaporated coconut milk. Their products work perfectly for tres leches, brigadeiros, Beijinhos de coco and dulce de leche among many other treats. 🙏🤤💕 PS for an extra depth of flavor add about 2 tbsp of rum to the tres leches 💕
Lol. The joke in the rifftrax of the short Incredible Disappearing Money about powdered milk always kills me "Powdered milk! Not just for war time conditions anymore!"
No ma'am. You add water to whole dry milk and it absolutely NOT like drinking a glass of whole milk out of the gallon. It is the nastiest drink. Once it leaves whole milk status it will never taste that creamy and delicious again just too drink a glass. Great for baking and cooking. Yuck for drinking.
It is not advaible to consume raw eggs. Very dangerous since not everyone stores them properly or observes the expiry date. Surprised that someone with your experience would indicatae that type of meringue.

Wilton makes cake bands. They are strips of heavy heat proof fabric. You get them wet and wrap on outside of pans. Works great.

I will have to switch out the sugars for something else sweet and flavorful!
