Good to hear from you , Wayne (. I thought you’d done a bunk after we chucked away those points against Cov ) Yes , agreed , we are way beyond pre season expectations And we have got some great footballers .i think we can keep up the generally great form . Howaythe Lads !
Hi Billy, no not done a runner lol. Just had a few personal issues. I would love to see us stay there though. To see us challenging for promotion would be absolutely amazing.
Totally agree exceeded expectations so far, Connolly upfront & pushing Isidor left Is RLB one mistake. Cirkin, Jobe, Isidor top 3 with Rigg & Onien just behind.
Once again fully agree with your review! On the best players so far , clearly most of the team have shone this year in order Jobe, Grigg, Cirkin, Mundel , Mepham, Hume & Isidor. I would however like to give a special mention to Luke o'Nien whose excellent perfomances tend to fall a little below the radar. He has been as solid as a rock and deserves a lot of credit. IMO he would be a great captain.
Xmas always kicks up some crazy results !!! We've hopefully had our dips in form so now its the turn of others o.k we are having injuries & suspensions but its no cause for panic !!!
Hi Wayne - yes last week was poor performance, but we're still TOTL, so other teams must have also had disappointing performances ae well at some point. Suggesting Dodds & Proctor influenced RLB's selection decision seems implausible/Qanon - RLB's his own man. Last year Cirkin was injured for most of season and look at him now, so we can't write off Poveda/Samed/Abdoullah juet yet. I think RLB is putting Aleksic on the bench to try to improve his english. L09 has always been good and is now being recognised - he's right footed, but plays really well as LHS CB where Alese is our only LH CB other than Hjelde who RLB rates - (he's only just turned 21, so could be big for us in future). If we can stay in contention, I'm sure owners will spend to strengthen as promotion places are much more open this season and we have a team with amazing skills and talent. It's game on! Cheers. Jim
Against Millwall I would go 3-5-2. A one off due to suspensions. Patto, Ballard, Mepham, Hjelde or Alese if fit O0, Neil, Rigg, Aleksic, Cirkin Mayenda and Isidor Through The Middle. Bishop, Anderson, Triantis, Ba and Rusyn can all go IMO.
Hi Wayne ,totally agree with you but quick question why did we not go for tyrece Campbell instead of Connolly he was a free banging them in for Sheffield utd and did ok for Stoke puzzles me
Hello Wayne After watching Aaron Connelly on Saturday I can't see him replacing anyone in the starting line up O.k. reggie made some strange choices but was it just to weigh up our options to see how others would fit in ?? Looking forward to see how the team shapes up at the Den !!! Hopefully Millwall 0 Sunlun 1
The star players you mentioned wayne are under contract and cery very happy at safc . They are playing a very important integral part if the planned model and as far as i know and can see , these lads sre going nowhere regardless of money thats been bandied about . 🤔👍
All I'll say for the Coventry game is that it's a bad result, I don't care that we're top still on goal difference, to be 2 nil up at home and not go on and win is absolutely criminal, I thought we played well for 50-55 minutes, once Coventry got 1 back u knew what was coming and we just invited them on and in the end we got what we deserved for going to pot in the 2nd half, assessing us so far, obviously it's still been a fantastic start to the season and currently 8 unbeaten which is really good, it's just a shame with the 3 draws in a row, still unbeaten at home which is a huge positive, going forward however with all these injuries and suspensions just shows that the strength in depth is clearly not there and we'll be an absolute mess midfield wise when we return against Millwall, come January this lot need to go out and show some ambition and make sure we've got no just a strong starting 11 but a strong bench as well and no selling key players to promotion rivals or small premier league clubs, if these don't go for it then they've got to be forced out cos this season is our best chance of promotion, if it doesn't happen this season then it's never gonna happen under this regime IMO
Can't agree with your final comment about forcing the owner and recruitment team out . As I said in an earlier post , trust in the recruitment team and put faith into their judgement . 🤔👍
Yeah the writing was on the wall once they got the 3rd goal but I was disappointed at how we sat back and invited pressure. The 4 at the back simply did not work. We need to keep on improving and now is the best time to do it.
Nice one Wayne, as usual. cheers Neil
Cheers Neil, means a lot.
Luke onien has been consistently a rock in 9 clean sheets and played with 3 different centre half's!!! Top 3 Bellingham, O,'nien and Cirkin ❤️🤍❤️🤍 FTM

Cheers John, really appreciate it. Agree about Luke O'Nien too who may be needed now at right back.
Just got our tickets for millwall who are going well weekend in London
Great stuff Jimmy, hope we can get back to winning ways.

Fingers crossed Gary. Your right about christmas though for sure.
How about this lineup ?
5-3-2 Patto
Onien,Ballard,Mepham,Hyelda,Cirkin
Rigg,Neil,Watson
Mayenda,Isidor
I do think he will go for a back 3
I was about to post virtually the same line up or revert too 4-4-2 to throw a cat amongst the rivals plans . 🤔
Not far off my selection above mate. Be happy to see this one too.
Might not be a bad shout Stewart.

Hi Jim, Great comments and I hope your correct with those observations, especially on the injuries. I agree it's still game on for sure.

Patto,
Ballard, Mepham, Hjelde or Alese if fit
O0, Neil, Rigg, Aleksic, Cirkin
Mayenda and Isidor Through The Middle.
Bishop, Anderson, Triantis, Ba and Rusyn can all go IMO.
Might not be a bad shout Chris.
Hi Wayne ,totally agree with you but quick question why did we not go for tyrece Campbell instead of Connolly he was a free banging them in for Sheffield utd and did ok for Stoke puzzles me
Hi David, good question, Connolly probably the cheaper option mate.
@@onlyfoolsandsafc yeah probably
Looks like Dodds having input if that bench was out to go by at Preston on tv Dodds looked like he was number 1
I thought that too tbh. Seemed a very strange decision.

Top 3 players so far Cirkin Isidor & Jobe FTM
It's still early days on Connolly and I hope he can come good.

I hope you are right Malcolm. We need to keep hold of them all.
Alan Brown played around 400 games at Preston hardly missed a game comes here and injured and out
Safc curse
Aye bloody typical like.

@malcolmdonnison3987 if we are still in the top 2 come January and they don't go for it and we slip away and don't go up then how can they remain here
Yeah the writing was on the wall once they got the 3rd goal but I was disappointed at how we sat back and invited pressure. The 4 at the back simply did not work. We need to keep on improving and now is the best time to do it.
