Yes this has been requested a couple of times - at the moment, the nebula generator contains a set of custom scene and lighting settings but it may be possible to import it as a separate ‘scene’ which you could then composite together with existing settings. If that would be useful I can look into it but contact me on info@configurate.net if you would prefer a refund.
Their docs say "Open one of the Nebula Generator’s .blend files. You will not be able to see or use the panel otherwise." Does it mean I cannot start from scratch?
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Because the Nebula Generator has lots of different settings it is all contained in one Blender file. You can however add new scenes into the file separately and composite them together.
Hello Karl, Cycles mode will allow you to add the nebula material to different shapes, at the expense of render times and a different effect to EEVEE. EEVEE, at least currently, will always render as a cube. For Cycles, you might want to also look at using something called Point Density to control the shape.
@@Configurate I was able to make it work inside a torus instead of a box thanks. On another note is it possible to make the nebula to also appear outside of the object? Instead of just the inside?
Try animating the noise parameters by adding keyframes. Hover the mouse over a parameter on the panel, and press ‘I’ to add a keyframe at the selected frame. Then, move the time slider to another frame and press ‘I’ again. Hope that helps.
@@ralph_s EEVEE will be quicker than Cycles. For EEVEE a 1280x1024 image rendered at 2px size may take 20-40 seconds. Cycles will take a lot longer, 5-10 minutes depending on settings. Email info@configurate.net, happy to discuss more.
Thanks for this great tutorial.
Wow, very much amazing nebula it creates
Wow this is a brilliant update !!!
Could this be used to make seamless skyboxes for game engines?
Why can't we make panels from scratch even though we have them? I want you to be able to generate it without opening the specified Blender file.

Is it possible to generate the Nebula as custom shape? For example If I want the nebula to be shaped like a donut, horshoe or an animal etc.

@@Configurate thanks a lot
@@Configurate How much time does it take to render out 1 minute of animation on an average computer?

@@Configurate Thanks, I will buy it tomorrow and test it out.
