How to easily pay PHONE TAX in PAKISTAN | iPhone Duty Rates

แชร์

  • เผยแพร่เมื่อ 4 ต.ค. 2024
  • Two years ago, Pakistan Government slapped new taxes on all phones used in the country. Using #DIRBS (Devices Identification, Registration and Blocking Regulation System) any phones on which taxes are not paid are blocked for cellular usage in #Pakistan after a grace period of 90 days.
In this video, I share the process of paying the due tax at a discounted rate and why the current method of tax calculation is disproportionately charging more tax percentage on budget phones, which will further slow down Pakistan's smartphone penetration rate as compared to our South Asian neighbours.
Do you agree with my concerns? Share your thoughts on this policy and taxation method and let's have a productive discussion in the comments below.

Some stupid awards show which lowers our IQ has views in the millions and logic and common sense education is barely lifting. Also this is something that we as Pakistanis barely know. Such corruption and illegal practices have been hammered into us and we do not question why they are happening.

PTI Govt continues to harp upon the facilitation of overseas Pakistanis but have done virtually nothing for them. I am 100 percent sure no one from FBR will ever contact you. They have their hands full fleecing the hapless taxpayers. But that doesn’t mean you stop protesting. Do continue with the good work.

    Good analysis,
I went back to Pakistan last year after 11 years aboard, I had Galaxy note 8 till January they wanted me to pay 40k RS but in February they revise and reduced to 8k RS.
I complaint on citizen portal about the issue and just like all other complaint closed with relief cannot be granted.
my complaint was I in Pakistan after 11 years I can't even have tax free phone which I brought second hand and not even under warranty.
Currently the gov set up banking system for overseas while as a overseas you can't even change your martial status, like all they need is your money with no services.

I've been on vacation for two months, I have used it for that period and It stopped working after that period. and I found no logic to register it, If I go on vacation again with the same phone It will not work there, damn it man, this is ridiculous, I definitely will have to register it or to buy another phone there. This is how they are looting overseas Pakistanis.

    Well done bro ,
Your point is 1000% correct...this crap tax calculation system is so unfair with us .

Its like double tax to overseas. I pay 16% already while buying and then again in Pak. Atleast return it back as refundable tax credits for overseas.

This is Insane!!!! So, If i come to Pakistan for two months, I am gonna have to pay 31000 rupees to register my phone during my two months stay? I am Pakistani Canadian. There should be a way where there shouldn't be any tax for temporary visitors.I paid sales taxes already when i bought the phone, why double taxation in Pakistan? Bunch of idiots are at FBR. They should be giving a grace period for temporary visitors of 6 months, and after that , their phone should be blocked until they pay "resonable" tax . It doesn't make any sense for them to charge tax on temporary visitors.

@@farhancpa there is a grace period of I think 60 days, after that they will block your sim and you have to register. I bought a S10+ from saudia with my savings, have to pay additional $300 for registration on top of the already hefty amount of $950 i paid when buying the phone
