If you watch carefully, you will notice that he places the Planer face down on the stone. That is very dangerous to do because it can pick up dirt and debris and damage your type when you knock the type down to their feet. It is better to stand the Planer on its edge so that it does not get dirty.

Bill, I'm not sure why you place the side quoin on the left, when you would be feeding the paper to the left? If you have to unlock the form it will be a bit more difficult to get it to register (especially if you are using wooden furniture). One should always place the quoin opposite from the guide edges. General Printing, Cleeton & Pitkin, page 71.

Thanks so much for these videos - but could someone please fix up the auto-generated captions? They're pretty good but where names are used, they're not right, and 'quoins' is misspelled.

Hi Kelly! Do you mean the subtitles/closed captioning? Thank you for pointing out the error and helping me figure out where it's located.

@@LearningLetterpress Yep, that's the ones. You should be able to go into studio.youtube.com select 'Subtitles' and edit them. Thanks.

There used to be an option to allow viewers to submit captions as well, not sure if that's still available.
