Those of you who are putting really mean comments since that is a lot of what I'm seeing here. You'll are sounding like god awful hypocrites and have zero compassion for this man and that is wrong. Those of you who put good comments good for you I can see you have some compassion for Paul at this stage of his life. Paul deserves to have someone who loves him more for the person he is on the inside rather than his own appearance. I also would have to say it's good for him that he has someone who cares for him. Why don't you'll just shut up with these mean comments? Who cares if it takes sometime to find his penis. That doesn't matter all that matters is that he's doing everything he can to loose all of that weight all so he could get himself to a healthy way of living. Also he doesn't need anybody calling his woman a media whore either. All that woman is doing is caring for him and helping him to become able to love him and care for him to become a better person.

People are so ignorant and self-obsessed, blaming him for what happened to his body instead of taking into account mental illness and life trauma. This situation certainly shows the difference btw socialized medicine vs for profit systems. Why didnt any physician in the U.K undertake this ? I remember Charlie Gaurd. A sad commentary on rationing care and picking those who "deserve" medical care. Its interesting that here in the states the liberals push medicare for all and base it on being caring and compassionate.
For the last 12 years we've had a Conservative government who are ideologically compelled and driven to cut the funding dramatically for the NHS. As for funding weight loss operations; they will fund it. You have to lose a small percentage of weight if you are really big in order to make it safe to operate on you. Americans often say "no country uses the NHS as a basis" but then no Western country uses your system either. Our NHS in the UK needs to be funded properly as it used to be and we need a government who supports our NHS as the majority of people do in the UK. If funded properly then it's an excellent system and no other healthcare system provides this standard of care for the cost. We have private healthcare here too if that's what you prefer. There are a lot of lies spread in American media, particularly from Conservative/Republican circles about the NHS. I am proud to live in a country which considers healthcare a human right. You live in a country and sound proud of a healthcare system which is considered a privilege for the wealthy..
What people don’t understand like for Paul - he would still feel like a fat person trapped in a fat suit. This operations ages a person and does created more problems. I wouldn’t encourage anyone to do this operation unless there prepared to go all the way and use ongoing support.
