Was looking for something like this. Want to consolidate all my drives to one without breaking the bank. Amazing breakdown once again Matt!!!

Keep me updated what you think! Alternatively could get the case and put all your existing drives in it just to better organize things

Great video! What are you using as your cloud backup service?

I use Backblaze and only keep everything turned on when transferring/backing up. So it really does just act as a big desktop drive

All the storage needs are cringing so hard. I feel like he’s trolling us. Surely he’s not storing all of his precious footage on an array of used HDDs with no redundancy. My guy in the video here obviously has never had to restore a large dataset from the cloud. 😅

Went from literally a bunch of disks to a JBOD. And cloud backup now. Without a doubt an upgrade for me and I know others that are in a similar situation. So might not be perfect but it’s right for me for now

@@MattTornquist Question, how much will it cost to pull all data form cloud? Also how long would it take to get all back?

@@ivanmaglica264 pulling everything down is hard to predict. If I were in that situation I’d likely pay them to ship me drives and then get that money back upon return of said drives. I pretty much work with files on my desktop for all live projects
