i understand why yeosang was being short and trying to distance himself from woo when woo started hanging out and choosing san over him more. i think he was thinking if i start to distance myself more it won’t hurt as much if he leaves(from the close friendship) or when he doesn’t choose/look at me. it’s a way to protect your feelings that i think a lot of introverts relate too.

I can definitely relate to this video, much like Yeosang and Wooyoung even I was best friends with someone for a lot of years, I even begged my parents to let me join the same high school as her, so we don't grow apart.... When we finally got to highschool she became distant from me and grew closer to the others. It hurt me, so I left them alone. Somehow I always found my way back to her, and to this day she doesn't even know how I felt, cause she almost never talks to me.

I think Wooyoung likes San as much as Yeosang, just differently. Yeosang is his best friend, the one he knows the most and the longest while San is his soulmate, the one with whom he has a special bond, and even more. On the other hand, he doesn't treat them the same way, he's way more gentle with Yeosang and more rude (not in a bad way) with San.

Me are Wooyoung. I had this one bestfriend (Yeosang) since 2011, then in 2014, I suddenly become bestfriend with this another girl (San) that used to be the one I hate the most before. I am so talkactive and many people said I am friendly, so I made many friend while my friend (Yeosang) kinda a quiet person, so she doesn't have so many friends like mine. But I have to admit here, I really love her (Yeosang) more than any of my friends, I love my other friend (San) and my another 2 bestfriend that close to me since 2013 and 2014 too.. I love all 4 of them just the same but the first one (Yeosang), gave me some special feeling, well, we've been friend the longest and me and her (Yeosang) are always sticks togetger like almost 24/7. Wherever I go, she (Yeosang) always tag along. But since I know my old enemy who is my new bestfriend now (San), I didn't realise that sometimes I accidentally ignore my bestfriend (Yeosang). She (Yeosang) begin to whining about how close I am with that girl (San). Day by day, me and my bestfriend (Yeosang) begin to distant, my new bestfriend (San) always call me, hangout with me while my bestfriend (Yeosang) begin to talk less to me. Until one day.... She (Yeosang) went for vacation with her new bestfriend to Korea, without telling me, she (Yeosang) posted their photo on her social media, with a very sweet long caption like I used to wrote whenever I post about her (Yeosang) before. She (Yeosang) got more and more friends now, and no longer talk to me.

Maybe you should talk to them? I totally get you, I was also in a trio through elementary school, middle school AND part of high school so a very long time lol. Take it from someone who was in one and also maintained it for years and years. Trios can feel precarious at times, but that’s the nature of a trio and it’s not gonna be perfect :) We were all best friends ofc but I was BFFs with Natalie and Ashlynn was like our collective best friend, if that makes sense? Like me + Natalie, together as a unit, had Ashlynn as our best friend. They knew each other longer but I became besties with Natie and Ashlynn also got closer to me than her over time. So there were difficulties for all of us with the two of them knowing each other longer, me being best friends with Natie, and Ash becoming closer to me than natie. It sounds weird but I promise when the three of us were together there was rarely any third-wheeling. But when there was just two of us it would be different because we were closer to some than others. And *this* *is* *okay*, it’s ok if your friends hang out just the two of them without you, or vice versa. It’s only when you’re together *as* *a* *trio* that things should feel equal and all parties feel included. THIS IS IMPORTANT and if it still feels like you’re being left out when all three of you are there then maybe you should say something to them!
I hope this made sense and helps you figure out your situation. I promise you can have very strong and healthy friendships balancing two besties at once, it just takes more work because it’s not the same as having only one best friend to focus on. so you need to be willing to consciously work on your friendships and be okay with the possibility that your friends end up preferring each other over you. We joked that even though it would be unequal at times, at least we were all being left out equally as much lmao!! And that’s how it should be. It can be hard because in certain situations and activities each of you has to accept that you aren’t #1 in each other’s minds...and that’s okay.

I kind of feel that Yeosang was the one who put that distance there in a way. I remember him saying he didn’t want their friendship to intimidate other members which is why he kind of held back and tried to treat everyone the same. I definitely think Wooyoung misinterpreted that as Yeosang not being interested in him anymore. Really San and Wooyoung’s friendship only filled in the space that Yeosang left for it. I feel bad for San because he was kind of accused of “taking Yeosang’s best friend” but it wasn’t like he intentionally did it. The two of them found things in common and their relationship grew off of that. By the time Yeosang was “pushed aside” everyone had already started to consider San and Wooyoung best friends and even Wooyoung said earlier in the show that San was his bestfriend so I understand why San would be confused😂. At the same time poor Yeosang is so introverted that it must’ve been nearly impossible for him to keep up with two extroverts. He probably thought since he and Wooyoung were so close he could always just go back to him when he wanted/needed to but by that time San and Wooyoung probably became so close they didn’t notice. Honestly, I really feel bad for Wooyoung though that question put him in a spot where he would’ve hurt someone even if he said both. Yeosang was already expecting him to pick San(🥺). San was also expecting to get picked. By picking Yeosang not only was San hurt but Yeosang felt bad because San was visibly upset. (Also @ Mingi calling San a loser afterwards😭💀 I laughed so hard but felt so bad) If he’d picked San then obviously San would be happy but that definitely wouldn’t have helped with the Yeosang situation.
But San is actually an INTROVERT as well. Maybe not quite as much as Yeosang, but they both are Introverts.
Yeosang was definitely hurt too. He thought he was doing the right thing for the team, but WooSang should have communicated more. It probably would have been better if Yeosang had allowed himself to act more openly close to Wooyoung. Now so many of the fandom fetishize's WooSan 🙄 and Yeosang often is left out.
Breezy Mango that's true I watched a lot of woosan moments when I first began stanning ateez they became my favorite duo and I really watched a lot of their interactions. Then I watched their Christmas vlive and read more information about wooyoung and yeosang and I came to know how important their friendship is as well. They probably talked more after the Vlive and sorted it out and they’ve probably gotten closer than before. And as I’ve been stanning Ateez for a year and 3 months, now I can see that Yeosang and Wooyoung have gotten even closer than before and so has San. To sum it all up Ateez all have a friendship that’s unbreakable and that goes for each and every duo. I really love all of them because I’ve gotten to see how they all love each other and show their own unique way of loving each and every member. I really love Yeowoosan’s friendship and their interactions and how they each show they’re own way of loving each other. In the end I Stan Ateez as a whole and I love it when they all interact with each other, and shower each member with love. I believe they’ve settled the matter of the Christmas Vlive some may think otherwise but just know that 8 makes 1 team.

It remember me on my old best friend. We did all together, we cried together, we laugh together, we hated each other but still loved each other, we fight, we understood each other, we helped each other, we sang together to my favorite songs and actually all hate this songs and maybe I felt more her ( and yes I’m a girl )..Idk what happened but one day we not did this much together anymore. I have a childhood friend who I absolutely loved growing up. Like they were my number 1, my support and I cherish all the memories we have with each other. Its sad though, because its come to a point in time after we grew up separately, met different people and experienced different things that I find myself cherishing our memories and my idea of them more than the person themselves.
I and my roommate used to be the BEST friend but then someday we got a new roommate. Suddenly the one I used to be best friend with, we became apart. Like it happens just like that and I suddenly become invisible to them and starting from that moment both of them become best friend. So after that thing happened to me, I start to make sure not to be too attached to someone, I mean I can befriend everyone but I'll try and control my best not to be too close to them
