Hello I am Suzanne, I am a small scale flower farmer and florist located in Devon in the Uk zone 8B.
I grow on a small cut flower plot of 16 square metres, and also have a cottage style garden.
I grow my flowers to sell predominantly as pre ordered retail bouquets and also provide florals for small events.
I grow without the use of chemicals, and try to garden in away that benefits nature.
My channel is very casual and low tech with all filming and editing being done by myself, content is a real mix of both gardening, cut flower production and floristry.
The weather is causing havoc in the cutting patch, making for some challenging Floristry.

It’s been a double whammy down here on the Devon coast…torrential rains and never ending gales. Your flowers are perfect despite the weather. PS- Your dahlias are gorgeous!

Yes gales here too, it always stresses me out. Perfect is very generous 😊.
Just about to make up two orders, and this time no colour restrictions, so both will be swimming in yellow and orange, as I have cut any useable stems in other colours. Praying the frost will hold out, so I can keep the Dahlias going a bit longer.

Don't customers mind the shedding of the verbena? I think it's so beautiful, but hesitate to put it in bouquets.

Thank you 😊 I don’t use verbena very often, as I know it bothers me, that is why I cut the verbena in the cottage garden, as it is only just opening so is not at that shedding stage, where as the clumps in the cut flower patch are far to ripe. Also I use it very sparingly 🌸
