Premium cigars are one of the few luxury items the average person can enjoy. Handmade suits, dinner at a Michelin star restaurant, luxury cars, etc are beyond the reach of most people. But most people can sit down with a good cigar and enjoy that little pleasure that the leaf has to offer.
My grandfather ( I am 70) grew his own tobacco in north East Texas. And he rolled his own cigars. Tobacco is easy to grow in many places in the US.. I have been told that tobacco grown in Cuba and South America is better for cigars. I always wondered if that was really true.
@@raywhitehead730 generally speaking us although great cigar tobacco can be grown in the US. Some places like New England, Pennsylvania, and Florida still grow Cigar Tobacco and its highly regarded
Anyone know if this is true or not? I was told that the Tobacco Growers in Cuba took all their best tobacco seeds before Castro took over and fled the island for other locations and started growing again so the cigars you get from Cuba today are not of the best quality??
@@outdoorfreedom9778 some Cuban exiles escaped with seeds and seeds are still snuck out of Cuba to this day. Many manufacturers, including us, use cuban seeds
There is no need for a machine. People can do it cheaper. Unless you're making millions of them. Tesla found out too much automation is a waste of money.

Look, never should cigars stop being made by hand. It would upset me, and I'd stop purchasing them. Now I've got to go light up a stick. 😁
