I am a beginner and was sitting on my phone trying to write some more of my story, and something was just missing... This is so SO valuable, thank you Lisa!!! I am writing a summary here for those that watched & loved the video and would like to have a reminder of the contents (at least my self, I like bitesize reminders as repetition is really the mother of everything! 1. Show an experience vs. tell an experience, e.g. my head was racing with thoughts "will they accept me?" My heart was racing, I am actually scared, 2. Audience Connection Formula Me-We-You --> you give it up, put some skin in, then: we're in this together, then: have you ever? "THERE WAS A TIME in my life where I was questioning if I was good enough, smart enough as a speaker, to be a CEO. WE HAVE A TENDENCY to have a dream, have a desire, have a goal and then instantly question: are we the person to make it happen? HAVE YOU EVER/HAS THERE EVER been a time in your life when you wanted something and you really really felt like it was something that you should get or that you could handle, and then you instantly question, are you the right person for the task?"

Transforming unconscious competence to conscious competence.....so powerful. I use to struggle with topics to speak about although I've been in the healthcare field for 20 years and been through the massive struggle. I had to learn to turn my unconscious competence to conscious competence, I although I still struggle, this has been a game-changer!
I've been too scared to speak to my potential audience, I'm letting me hold me back. I've always had such panic in my stomach when I think about being seen, but i know i can help! and it's without a doubt something thats held me back so much in life. As a single Mom of 2 boys, trying to create a life for us, I gotta figure it out fast! thank you, i need to find my USP without being a 'victim'! I need an actual training on this...... There was a time when, I was afraid of knowing about my calling. Knowing about it mean I have to do something about it, and that terrified me. Everytime I start my writing I fell my heart beating going really fast because I want to become a good writer.!!! In life we fear knowing about our real self.

This is extremely powerful for me because I made some of my living expenses (and paid my last semesters college tuition) from playing violin in the subways in nyc. Because of the pandemic, it’s safe to say that I won’t be doing that for a while.
I’ve been transitioning to doing more performing online and learning how these tools has given me a powerful framework to show my experience using the audience connection formula.

My 28th Birthday was this past Saturday, May 2nd. I was blessed with a 12-hour shift in my Care Work. Meeting the new Client and refreshing myself with the tools needed to help the individual was tense, though I was able to stay calm as I familiarized. By the end of that first shift, I left my newfound workplace with the most confidence and joy I’d felt in quite some time when exiting a shift. So much self-pride as I drove home, I felt surprised by the success of the day 😅 Added to the meaning as to why when I describe myself as a “Proud Caregiver” ~ I do not make that statement just for show 😎💙💕

Those techniques were amazing, as a social work major many of assignments involve presentations in front of my peers, Professor and guests and I definitely get so nervous when I start sometimes through the entire presentation.
