Thanks for your review. I had exactly the same experience you describe. The main point as you said is, if you nail it, it's outstanding, but you need to achieve that and some times its very difficult and frustrating. Now I know the problem its real and its not only my lack of experience using this camera.
The struggle is real! I am actually so glad that I did the "Dear Diary" confessional into the camera so I could remember my immediate feelings after/while using the SL3 for wildlife because the images can seduce you in the end. Like you said above, some of the images are simply outstanding. But the feeling is that of fighting the camera constantly. So yeah, your thoughts are not only valid, but they are true to my experience as well. Thanks for watching and for your comment. Have a great week. Aloha, Lee
Thank you for your review. I own the SL3 and the 60-600 and, generally speaking, i agree with your findings. One can only hope that Panasonic will help out Leica in the AF department and future firmwares will improve the experience. It is still beta after all. I'm happy with the setup though because when you DO nail it, it just blows your socks off. :-) Would you share your custom profiles by any chance?
Thank you for watching and for your comment. Yes, I agree with you. When you do nail it the results are fantastic. Mind blowing, even. And those hits alone make a compelling argument for the the Leica SL3 and various telephoto combinations. Likewise, the Animal Tracking is in Beta version so hopefully it improves over time. Also, I think it reasonable to expect that as the colaboration between Leica and Sigma matures over time, the features of lens and camera will work better together. As for my custom profiles-- you've given me a good idea for a future video! I'll work on that and share it on the channel. Thanks! Have a wonderful weekend. Aloha, Lee
