I enjoyed the comment that "Thankfully one side effect of devolution is that the Scottish Secretary, Michael Moore, has more than enough free time to speak to the likes of me (Rory Bremner)". It has particular resonance since the LibDems had actually proposed to abolish the Scottish Secretary post in their 2010 Westminster manifesto. And yes, good to hear Rory defuse the banks debate and mention the McCrone report and marine boundary changes.

I have always been a huge fan of Rory Bremner, one of Scotland's and Britains greatest comedians. I have always thought of him as a very intelligent and clever person, and that this showed through in his comedy. I loved when he did his show Bremner , Bird and Fortune, and when he did the surveillance camera sketches spying on Tony Blair, which spoke about how misleading and what a political fraud Tony Blair was and is, and that the only way to find out the truth about what Tony Blair really thought was by spying on him. For those who live outside of Scotland, this is a hugely informative documentary about how we Scots think and our attitudes to life. It is also a very well balanced documentary, which does not support one side over another but leaves you to form your opinion as to which side of the political divide and the issue of independence in particular. I absolutely 100% agree with Rory when he said "politics is far too dangerous to leave to those who are politically minded". In other words, politics is far too dangerous for people to refuse to be interested in it, we MUST be interested in politics, because to ignore it is to allow the fascism which has now, disgustingly, taken over and taken a hold of Scotland, which I, as a very proud Scottish person, I find thoroughly disgusting and am desperate to get the SNP OUT and also to get the BLAIRITES OUT OF THE SCOTTISH LABOUR PARTY. I am ENORMOUSLY PROUD THAT SCOTLAND HAS NEVER EVEN COME CLOSE ,OVER THE LAST 80 YEARS TO BEING A TORY COUNTRY. I AM VERY PROUD OF SCOTLAND'S VERY STRONG LABOUR, DEMOCRATIC SOCIALIST TRADITIONS AND WANT TO SEE SCOTLAND RETURN TO THOSE TRADITIONS AND VALUES AS SOON AS POSSIBLE ,BECAUSE THE SNP AND ALL CAPITALISTS ARE KILLING SCOTLAND, AND THEY DO NOT CARE. WELL I CARE, I CARE VERY MUCH ABOUT SCOTLAND.

Amazing how much more engaged nowadays. Fascinating reading this comment section and hearing all this stuff from 6/5 years ago. Very different feeling this now.

We should declare UDI officially, and wait until the uproar. People would demand and scream and shout about it being wrong, people would celebrate and the proverbial would hit the fan. THEN, the Scottish government would say.. "ok, ok, so we put it to the people with an emergency vote.. Who wants to REJOIN the UK?"

nice to see andy was right, and I say that as a Scot, the rest was speculation that hasn't come to fruition yet

Cochraine and Davidson are two of the best adverts for a YES vote.

      John W
The only people I have met who think NO is the best option are the people who say 'I don't know anything about politics but they are ALL crooks and perverts anyway' and the ones who say 'it will be a disaster' but can't really say why it will!
The more people become involved and start to question things, the more they vote YES.
