they made Criston Cole look dumb here..in the book he killed Joffrey after the wedding during the competition, Criston attacks Joffrey with a morningstar and cracks his helm, and he dies after six days. the way the show portrayed it felt a bit forced. It was trying to give red wedding when it didn’t need to at all !!! I didn't like this
ye I like most of the scenes in the show because they are really close to what is in the books... but in ep5. they diminished Criston Cole and also scene Daemon/Rhaenyra I feel like it was a missed opportunity, was hoping we see Daemon taking some action or anything... he is there then he is not.
Only one of the viewers understood the reference to Alicent's green dress, the others had to be explained what the green color of the Hightowers meant. This man is one of mine...
Cole doesn't love Rhaenyra, he loves his honor and is pissed at her for taking it away. He couldn't handle the guilt, he confessed to Alicent, but she spared his life with 0 consequences. So he keeps being consumed by guilt. He's angry, he has lost the greatest thing that's happened to his family, and then Joffrey shows up and tells him he knows what he's done and essentially threatens him with a "I'll keep quiet if you keep quiet", then proceeds to humiliate him by forcing him to move his sword out of the way, and that's it. That's the final straw.
@@jpruedag I don’t think it’s as simple as you’re making it. Fabien Frankel (actor who plays Criston) has said that Criston does in fact have strong feelings for Rhaenyra and also feels shame/regret about his decision to break such a sacred oath. People are trying to pinpoint these characters’s choices as either noble or immoral and that’s not how the story is presenting them (much like how people’s choices in real life are due to a combination of factors).
Still waiting for the KingsGuard to explain how Ser Harwin Strong got the Princess out of danger while none of them did and Cole either learn to control your emotions or get the heck out but don’t worry Alicent will save him he’s still on the show
Cole lost everything he had, his principals & morals, he was betrayed, the Only & ONLY thing that gave meaning to his bloodline was taken… idk how one can control emotions after that.
@SeanTankTop your camera work and editing is impressive and getting better!! 👏👏👏 Love the POV shots outside the bar, entrance and the Serving shots!! 👌 And thanks to you and everyone else for always putting a smile on my face!! CHEERS from the True North!! ❤🇨🇦✌️
How was Criston allowed to physically assault a prince AND murder someone, and just walk away? What kind of Kings Guard are securing this wedding? Why didn’t the king or wedding party shun Allicent, when she walked in wearing the green dress? Lord Corlys and Princess Rhaenys would have shut it down, if the writers thought about. They just had an important scene where they discussed their son’s safety. WTF?
What prince? Laenor isn't royalty yet, he's a lord. True that he was about to become consort, but he wasn't yet. And I think, in general, at every public event so far we've seen people fight/kill/die - it reminds us of how indecisive and non-authoritative Viserys is. He lets waaaaay too much slide and people don't really respect him much any more. They aren't afraid of his retribution because there isn't any. The Valaryons (including Rhaenys) are below Alicent in the hierarchy. Them saying anything would be against their station. And I think Viserys did notice the green dress and was offended by it, but couldn't make a huge scene in that moment. Alicent knows Viserys is weak, indecisive, and dying so she needs to protect herself and her children

I think since no one saw how it started and he's a kingsguard, people probably gave him the benefit of the doubt in the spur of the moment, and then Alicent got him off later on
That’s the problem with the liberty the show took. In the book, Criston killed Joffrey in a tournament; not a banquet hall.
@@Noone91875 Joffrey is a knight of House Velaryon, so it not nothing.
@@Noone91875 some "small house random lover" my man you're speaking about House Valaryon the 2nd biggest, and powerful house in the Realm. Not to mention Joffrey was a Lonmouth, bannermen to House Baratheon.
they made Criston Cole look dumb here..in the book he killed Joffrey after the wedding during the competition, Criston attacks Joffrey with a morningstar and cracks his helm, and he dies after six days.
the way the show portrayed it felt a bit forced.
@@bellavi5398 Likely they didn't have the time or budget to include a week of feasting and tournaments.
@@justinmingus191 And they gave us a similar death in episode one.
sameeee
@@richg4962 There’s been “similar deaths” in GoT lol a tourney would have been a much better writing choice
Only one of the viewers understood the reference to Alicent's green dress, the others had to be explained what the green color of the Hightowers meant. This man is one of mine...
I believe Cole saw Daemon kiss Rhaenyra and lost it and took it out on other dude! Daemon booked it!
maybe, his emotions were bottled up from systematic betrayal after betrayal which led to him melting a guys face💀💀
I love how much rhaenyra respect leanors choices. Despite the impossible situation they found themselves in. She really said gay rights.
Oh shut up
@@Hero_Of_Old no you shut up
never a boring wedding in Westeros
Well, according to the Dothraki, that one was. Only ONE person died. Tedious!
Still waiting for the KingsGuard to explain how Ser Harwin Strong got the Princess out of danger while none of them did and Cole either learn to control your emotions or get the heck out but don’t worry Alicent will save him he’s still on the show
They were all interested in who will win between their man Ser Criston and his opponent Ser Joeffrey.
Cole lost everything he had, his principals & morals, he was betrayed, the Only & ONLY thing that gave meaning to his bloodline was taken… idk how one can control emotions after that.
@@sup9023 he's too weak willed. Look at Jamie lannister and even ser barristen compared to them cristan is a baby in swaddling clothes.
Its interesting how some ppl have become really attached to ser criston while others dont care for him..lol
Show Is doing well at having people pick favs on all sides
When I heard "Iksos daor:, I really felt that.
I love the new perspectives!!! Keep it going!!
i love the wedding dance 😍
I love how calm everyone is now…oh just wait
Alicent Hightower: all green walking in
crowd: Slytherin !!!
I swear Rhaenys and her family look more like royalty than viserys 😭 they’re badass looking
Oh yeah, she should have been the queen, not Viserys.
2:10 the woman in back said that me and the look of her man there is priceless hhahahaaha
@SeanTankTop your camera work and editing is impressive and getting better!! 👏👏👏 Love the POV shots outside the bar, entrance and the Serving shots!! 👌
And thanks to you and everyone else for always putting a smile on my face!! CHEERS from the True North!! ❤🇨🇦✌️
I always have loved watching The Burlington Bar reaction videos. I hope to visit one Day from Scotland and visit. Tis indeed a life goal. X
I visited Scotland and the bars felt very Chicago! So you'd prob like it here!
Ser Criston! Why'd you do that? "He called me Crispy..."
The last time I was this early Aegon was in Valyria
That guy in the corner casually serving LEGS!!!🦵🦵🍗
Aliceny calling rhaenyra STEPDAUGHTER like how she is in th book.
Daemon Targaryen ❤️❤️
the greatest targaryen of all time

What was so funny on King Viserys falling down at the end?
Probably cause the poor guy just can’t catch a break
most of them are obnoxious
My guy Ser Gerald got finessed so bad by Daemon 😭
Bro when he said "are you confessing to some guilt" I almost spit out my water
I like the new guy with the glasses next to Dustin, you can tell he's excited about the show. His reaction adds a lot.
The subtle foreshadowing of Blood & Cheese. :D
Daemon: *does…well anything*
Everyone: “OMG! What the fuck?!”
Morgan: “There he is. Bringing a little Daelight to all of us.” #daelight
I like the camera work here 🔥
idk why but I like the shot of you getting the beer for him. Just casual Hot D sounds in the background, but oh look BEER! Keep up the content!
Captain America knew it! He knew that Laenor will introduce his alter-ego. He didn't attend the meeting of Lord SeanTanktop at the Burlington🤣🙉🍻🍺
Sean! Is it possible to include reactions of the previews for the following weeks episodes after one ends?
He might, he'd call it part 3 and you'll have to wait a week for it to watch it 😁
I'll drop it on Friday!
@@SeanTanktop nice! Thanks for your hard work!
Damnnit Ramin Djawadi, you did it again.
You wouldn't have lasted long in this medieval political playground.
Everybody eyes clued to the show, but the one cat in the background with the hat on watching ESPN on his phone 😂🤣😂
The lady in the animal print blouse look just like Rhaenys Targaryen to me. :)
