One quick thing, I would suggest cargo pants over jeans, they are light they don’t get caught on anything and they don’t restrict movement, jeans are a little heavy and some are baggy enough to get caught on your gun and other gear
You can play paintball in your “birthday” suit. You just have to know the field owner very well, and work out a deal. Masks are still required. 😂 I’m just joking. 😂
I almost always advise against it unless it's cold for two reasons: More clothes really doesn't soften the impact that much and more clothes tends to weigh you down restricting mobility.
Personally, I got into paintball and just wanted to play for cheap, I got some heat elbow pads, but pants wise I always go back to buying soccer goalkeeping pants off of Amazon, they are so much cheaper and have a lot more padding.
2022 update: BEST BOUNCE CAP...GET 2ND SKULL ORIGINAL VERSION NOT THE PRO VERSION. 2nd skull has a special light waight small size foam that absorbes impacts. Its very very good. Got shot 5 feet away and had no lump or sourness. I felt the shot but it wasn't bad at all. Its also super thin and confortable. Dont get the pro version though. The pro version is advertised to be more breathable but it has paintball sized holes in the actual foam and also large spaces in 4 lines on the sides that leave it way to exposed for paintball. The original slaps!! 2nd skull is my new fave cap, it also bounces like crazy
Well once you manage to put on your neck protector, your chest protector, your protective gloves, your kneepads, your elbows forearms bad, you might as well throw on a latex condom just to make sure you're completely safe.
The HK Army jerseys and crash chest protector is amazing ! get one ! It's worth the money and super great protection ! I only wear my full head goggle set when they are using First Strike ! Those paintballs suck lol
IVE played for 15 years, Ive owned every piece of gear possible and when I play its normaly in a tee shirt and gym shorts and cleats thats all you need.
Some good advice and I learned this the hard way I use to just go in shorts and a v neck shirt ..the ref asked me if I had any protection to wear told him nah I don’t need that shit …well he suggested I look into protective gear due to me having tattoos …i ended up getting shot on one of my tattoos got home and the tattoo was fucked up at a certain spot …if you heavily tatted wear padding ..,it doesn’t make you a scary ass gotta protect yourself and your investments

Well I can only speak for me. I have smaller hands and couldn't get a nice grip on the gtek 170r because the grip frame ist just way to big. The shocker has a way more ergonomic gripframe imo. I always recommend to get your hands on the gun before you buy. :)

I had a enemy and and a Cronus, the eNMEy gets kinda annoying because of the valve that leaks air between trigger pulls. And the Cronus kinda has a heavy trigger pull compared to the eNMEy but they are both really good guns just get the Cronus
maybe a unpopular take but paintball specific clothing sucks and is uncomfortable. from the cheap stuff to expensive stuff. you wanna wear slide shorts and than PB joggers ontop in summer? wear a dye padded shirt with a jersey ontop in the summer while having forearm pads and knee pads aswell. like ive been doing this for years i just wear cargo shorts and a shirt or long sleeve depending on weather. sold all my pb clothing. idc if i look like a new player everytime no mnatter how breathable stuff is when you are layered its hot and uncomfortable. alot of players wanna be Ag on the field im past that stage in life lmao
I used a rental mask my first and only time and the fogging ruined the whole day. I will buy a mask now definitely.

Gloves are a must for me. I freaking HATE getting hit in the knuckles and fingers! Especially with those hard woods balls. Freaking sucks

Some paint does wash out, you just have to be sure in case your wearing something you dont want to get ruined. But something you can move in as well.

Make sure you have good boots too, boots or cleats, just something that’s durable
But if you get cleats, make sure they are Not spiked, those hurt if stepped on, sometimes worse than a paintball.
