Mark Pritchard, release on Ho Hum, produced by Mark and myself... All using a Casiotone and a Fender Rhodes, all mic'ed through a Fender Twin. All praise to Mala for the support.
Its a wonderfull piece of atmospheric sound. Hair raising. It was certainly mala who brought it to my attention. I really wish i could get some kind of copy of it
@@christian10992 Yeah, it's a Casiotone 202. It's big, it's heavy, it's outdated, but it has mojo. I actually owned one for a few weeks. In a way, it's the most basic keyboard you can imagine. A portable home organ, sort of like a Yamaha PS-20, but less practical. It has 49 keys and 49 presets, as each key correlates to one of the presets. But, to be honest... they all sounded pretty much the same, with very minor/nuanced differences. It had a switchable vibrato though, which was nice. In the end it took up to much space in my humble little home, so I had to sell it. I don't miss it, but do respect it for what it is. A vibe-y piece of Casio history.
Inframoon i bet you had fun! Mala never disappoints. He has been opening with this track for years, not every time but its pretty much his trademark now :D
+oli via I would've compared it to the same, I would love a modern twist on some of Floyd's material. Just realised we've gone for the same style of user name lol, great minds think alike ;)
This reminds me a lot of John Carpenter's soundtracks, composed and performed by himself, including the vintage instruments certainly used for this track. Fender Rhodes, string machines, synth drone...
Found this from a Ukrainian drone compilation. Crazy how a song can change the way you view/feel about things.
Я тоже, видео выложила 5 киевская штурмовая бригада
same! sweet christmas its so cold and dark but so captivating

Interesting. I wouldn't have suspected the Casiotone. DO you remember which model was used?
