I've tried all this procedures but after I click the submit button, it still kept on declining my modification, saying "null check operator used a null check value." I don't understand what that means.

Yes you can. But I think you should also add an affidavit. The two document will be enough

If the reason for the change of name is marriage, you don't need it. But it's not you might. The instruction for document upload is at least one of the following: sworn affidavit, newspaper publication, marriage certificate or any government ID showing the new name. Hope this helps?

The payment for people without Nigeria is in dollars about 20.78 dollars. I really don't know how they arrived at that price.

You are welcome. Login to your nimc self-service account to check for your recent modificationheck if your modifications have been approved.If yes, check your email very well, check your spam too. If you still don't see their email regarding the modification, send an email to nimc on nimccustomercare@nimc.gov.ng. I hope this helps?
Thank you for this info. Although, after registering, when I type my email and password, they keep telling me to revalidate my NIN instead of taking me my dashboard. Is that meant to happen?
I don't know why this happened. But if you have to revalidate your nin to get to the dashboard, just do it
@@anu_oluwapo Yes. I have scales through that stage. I put my NIN their for the validation and it took me to do my face capturing. Once that was done, it went to my dashboard so I can make the payment.

Be careful while typing your nin. Confirmed the digits very well. If anything goes wrong contact nimc at nimccustomercare@nimc.gov.ng

The one time password is sent to email not phone number. At what stage did you get the error. And what error message did you get?

I was only permitted to upload voter's card successfully.. i tried uploading News paper, court Af. plus Voter's card. it didn't work after several attempts.. But as soon as i upload only one document , the application summited successfully.. Hope it will not affect me?... is for addition of Middle name

When I tried doing mine it was a little different and I was asked to validate my nin and afterwards I was blocked

Yes,also snap your newspaper publication as a picture and try to edit it by placing an emphasis on your own name using an arrow or lines. It takes about 2-3 working days. Hope this helps?

On the site it showed modification successful but on the email I received, it said modification rejected.
Maybe they rejected your documents. Try to send them an email at nimccustomercare@nimc.gov.ng. You can also check the slip attached to the modification.

Check your email, login to your nimc self-service account for recent modification. Uninstall and reinstall your nimc app. If you still don't see the modification, you can then email nimc on "nimccustomercare@nimc.gov.ng"

Have you changed it already? If yes, you will receive an email from NIMC download the NIMC app to see the number ls linked to your NIN. You can also login to your NIMC self-service account to view if your modification has been approved.

Once you enter the number on your npc birth certificate, the system should automatically load your correct data of birth.
After you pay, put your NPC certificate number and validate it, your date of birth will automatically be filled and it is non-editable. If you have misplaced your birth certificate, go and do the birth attestation online nationalpopulation.org.ng
Then Upload your NPC certificate along with the required supporting document

Hi Anu, really appreciate your video and advice, but I am on my wits end and need some inputs, I need to change my DOB on the NIMC websites, I have paid the 16k and was told I have to swear an affiliate and go get the NPC attestation letter, which I have and it came with a ref number, I tried putting this number on the form and its saying its invalid, pls help out, how can I put it in and for it's to give me my DOB as suggested in your reply, I tried it out multiple times. An e.g of the ref number: NPC/LS/PAVA/CXX_/**. PLS do confirm if the NPC number is correct. Appreciate all the help. Take care

Congratulations 🎉. If you are using the NIMC app to check whether it has changed. I will advise that you uninstall the app from your phone and install it again. The change will automatically reflect. Please can you highlight the steps you took to change your date of birth, so many people struggle with this. I will appreciate your response and pin it for others to see.

The step i took is simple..
First i happy for affidavit online for age.. Then use the affidavit to apply for birthday attestation certificate.
And i use all this DocUment to apply for change of date of birth on ninmc app..
Which was approved and implemented..

Changing data of birth is the same process but you will need different documents. The amount for the change of date of birth is the most expensive about 16450 naira. It takes less than 45 minutes for changes to be implemented

Hi when you got the new slip after changing your name, did it change your marital status from single to married?
A Nigerian guy is requesting me to pay 110 pounds here in the Uk to do facilitation for me. Meanwhile i saw 15k online and i told him. He said if i pay 15k to NIM they will not process it fast.. I tried this self service and the camera for capturing didn't come out.
I will encourage you to keep trying it, it took me 3 days before I was able to finally access the website. You really do not have to pay anyone. But if you still encounter any problems, I would suggest that you email NIMC yourself at "nimccustomercare@nimc.gov.ng". They will always reply. Don't give up.
Make sure that there is light during the capturing then position your face very well. Just hold your phone as if you want to take selfies.

@@tonianightingal5720 take a visible picture of the newspaper, not the whole page but around the place where your name is. Then you can edit the picture by placing an arrow to indicate where your name is.
