My personal theory is that Bandit was a famous rock star in the past and so he has some money from that on top of now being a professor of archaeology at a university. But you have to admit it’s funny to think of these loveable dogs as criminal masterminds.
As someone with archaeology friends, the amount of time that Bandit stays home does make sense. Sometimes there's no site to go to for a month or 2 and this can lead into doing mostly computer work for a few weeks at a time.
Aside from the assumed income that they earn, there is little to no evidence that suggests they are thieves. The jobs in this universe could be higher paying than we might think.
I think it’s most likely that Bandit is an archeologist who works at a university but I love the idea that Stripe won the lottery and bought his brother and mothers homes for them I think that’s a really sweet idea
As fun as the theory that Chili and Bandit are secretly criminals is, I personally prefer to believe that that was the heeler childhood home. I choose to believe that Nana and Bob Heeler eventually chose to move to a smaller apartment with less work to be done on it, and when it came to the house and deciding what to do with it, it made the most sense to leave it to Bandit. Stripe seems to have more of a taste for luxury and maybe had a more high paying job that, along with Trixie’s income, allowed him to afford something nicer than the rundown home. Rad clearly has no need for such a nice place since he wouldn’t be around to get much use out of it. Bandit, on the other hand, clearly has a love for old things (he is an archeologist after all), and had a family on the way already to really appreciate the home.
The only thing bandit did that would be considered criminal was “fluffy” around his family. As for Chili… she basically “ stole” Bandit’s heart when they were kids XD
For a kids show mainly aimed for 5-7 year olds, I highly doubt there would be much conspiracy unlike shows like Gravity Falls and so on. Though it is funny thinking how Bandit the "Bandit" and "Chillidog" are smuggling ancient artifacts to be sold in Bali.
Love the code name Chillidog 😆 I feel like Bluey is starting to branch out of being aimed at 5-7yr olds and heading more into Simpsons territory too, where it’s technically seen as a kids show but is very adult
@@aussiegirlmargie I mean, with the quality put into Bluey, I'm not even surprised if they remove the recomendation age to for all ages. Also, the "Chilidog" is nicknamed by Stripe so its why I incoperated it. For Stripe, I have a hard time thinking of a code name for him.
I feel like the Bandit being a university professor is the best theory, it really fits with how knowledgeable he is when it slips through the episodes. But I like the idea of Stripes winning the lotto and helping out his family! He'd be a good boy like that!
My personal theory is that bandit was an archeologist since the 90s and married chilli in the 2010s. After the marriage he bought a house with nearly all his money. But he still has to work because to pay the taxes and bills
I would also take into consideration that if Chilli is the child of two army vets she may be getting benefits from the army now that her mom is gone. Also not to mention any inheritances from Bob/Chilli's mom could affect the budget greatly as well depending on what role her mom played in the army.
Not really buying into this theory, although it does make me curious if the topic of having incarcerated family members will ever come up. Showing children with incarcerated or ex-con parents would fit in with the wide range of subjects Bluey has broached, especially in Season 3B.

This is a very fun theory, but also one I'd prefer stays as an irony statement... 7:57 in case you're wondering what that skull is it's actually the skull of a species of pig that's found in Indonesia called the Babirusa which yes have tusks that Sprout from it's top jaw and the bridge of the snout
It's also possible he had money from another job. He's in his early 40s so its possible they purchased a home before and rolled the equity from that into this house. Though I do think the thievery side of this is a lot more fun and imaginative.
I didn't realize he was in his early 40s, his ass just probably saved a bunch of money, if he's working as both a professor, and working on archaeological digs, he could easily save up to do this, the thing not covered is the combination of these jobs as well as research funding, if he saved up for 10 years doing both of these jobs, he could outright buy the house, and definitely lower his hours after having kids and still make a good living based on the hourly rates of being a professor and doing research
I personally love the Bandits childhood home theory because my family currently resides in my husband's childhood home. Which we acquired when his parents retired to the West Coast of Florida Plus if I remeber correctly there are 3 regular rooms ( girls bedroom, Nursery, office) for Rad, Bandit and Stripe

Mahalo Margie for making these vids! We (my hubby and I) enjoy them because it validates a lot of “theories” we have!! Blessings, The Carter’s from Maui, Hawai’i 🌸
I know I'm six months late but it's worth considering: Bluey takes place almost entirely from Bluey's perspective, that of an extremely young child. It's not out of the realm of possibility that the Heeler family lives in a much more modest lifestyle than what we see, we're just interpreting it from the eyes of someone who sees the world as a grandiose and massive place.
they aren’t criminals! The way they act really seems honest and Stripe seems very honest and people pleaser, So I believe that they aren’t criminals and people are just acting to logical for a show, ITS A AMAZING SHOW but the fact that there criminals is a fan base logic idea.
I recon that nana and bob are probably quite wealthy, and saved up money for their kids as they were growing up and we can work out from certain sources that the heelers had bluey when bandit was about 38 and chilli would have been a similar age so they would have had about 20 years of adulthood to save up money for parenthood.
What you said about Stripe actually does make a bit of sense seeing as we never saw what his job is in the show or how he's able to afford to life he has and as we've seen a fair amount in the show Stripe is a bit boastful when it comes to his lavish lifestyle compared to his two older brothers
Honestly I don't believe the criminal theory because bandit says he used to love coming to the creek as a kid, and because maybe stripe did win the lottery since he has more modern-type house stuff
I theory I thought of is, they are also famous in their own verse by looking in the background and seeing merch of them in shops. They could be getting that income from being recognized, which I also think could lead to the theory about Bandit being a rock star, he could still be popular, and he could still be receiving the income from it, even though he has retired from it.
personally, i think that the creators of bluey didnt really think much about house payments and the cost of living, but i could be completley wrong. if they have i think that with bandit working at a university, aswell as finding tons of bones and artifacts, he must have found something rare and sold it to the museums or was given money to do reasearch on it. with the initial payment of his own job, aswell as the university and giving stuff to the museum/selling stuff to reasearchers, he must make extra money. chilli being an airport security worker (i doubt this but it is a possibility) maybe she gets a slight discount for trips and plane rides. that could be how they were able to travel to bali if they didnt have a whole lot of extra money. also i really love the idea that bandit grew up in that house, but since nana and grandpa bob retired they decided that they didnt need such a big house for just the two of them, and most likely bandit payed a lot less knowing that the house is very old and not in the best shape, aswell as his parents probably didnt make him pay the full price, he most likley got it for cheaper. stripe and trixies jobs are still unknown (from what i know) so they could be super rich. (this is just what i think but im not really sure on how the whole money things work since im still pretty young and havent given my future tons of thought. i also am not sure if there is anything to backup/go against my ideas but its fine)
What if he writes articles for journals and papers as well? He has to write reports on findings for work as it is. He could easily write about his experiences and travels to bring in a bit of extra income. I for one have always thought Bandit's family was independently wealthy given Nana's apartment, Stripe's lifestyle, etc. and they were free to choose their passions. I live in an area that has several well off people who don't flaunt the fact and live comfortably below their budget(I used to work in a speciality shoe store people tell you way more than they should sometimes), Bandit vs. at the higher end, Stripe. I assumed like many here Nana and Grandpa Bob invested in their kids futures with investments, college funds, possible shares of x,y,z they held and then when the boys came of age handed them the reigns. I don't think Chilli's family was because of the difference we see with her dad (though he could just prefer living away from the city) and his lack knowledge of technology vs. Nana.(Again not automatically saying circumstances are different, but it would draw the contrast more between the two families)It would also go back to maybe Brandy couldn't afford fertility treatments and maybe approached Bandit and Chilli and they said no because they were just finishing their own journey with fertility and it left them not struggling but not in a position to help while also providing the life style they want to provide for the girls, also setting up things for their future like Bandit's parents did, so it caused a rift between the sisters. It wouldn't be the first time money contributed to a rift between siblings, especially if she was vulnerable and felt they were being selfish. There are a lot of emotions around fertility and a heat of the moment argument well...it has been 4 years.
Bluey is my favorite show. I feel like maybe stripe did win the lottery and shared it across the family. Because if they where criminals the police would try finding them. But I wish Ludo did show some more Easter eggs and stuff.
Just another silly thought, (sorry for being late to the party) but there's also the possibility that Chili's mother had life insurance policies that were left to Chili and her sister. They may also be getting benefits from the armed forces. We also have no idea on how Chili's mother died. It could have even been a wrongful death which had a payout (Not as big as ones from the US but still, it could have been just enough.)
This was done with The Simpsons too - it's harder to get a handle on their housing cost because Springfield's intentionally ambiguous location but otherwise, give-or-take, they're in much the same scenario as the Heelers. They have two cars but they're older and more likely to be paid off than the Heelers' newish SUV, they have one more kid but Bart and Lisa go to public school, Marge doesn't have a job (usually) but I'd figure "tenured (and most likely published) college professor of archaeology" and "safety coordinator at a nuclear power plant with ~ 15 years experience" would be in roughly the same ballpark.
Im going with Indina Jones! That being said, I meet a guy who was who flew out to mining sights in the US. He adverages 100-130k a year. You can also play with the stockmarket. If Bandit pulls in enough for the house & maybe some bills, Chilli's income can go to food & the rest. It's really budgeting.
I love the theory! Also I’m not sure if you took in account that the hammer barn episode came out in 2020, maybe pizza ovens were a bit cheaper in 2020 (considering that was around the time the pandemic was in full swing)
Has anyone ever noticed that when we see a zoomed in version of bluey’s house we can see that they have neighbors right next door and with the fence, but when we see a zoomed out version they are on a hill and there are no houses right next door where they share a fence. Does anyone know why that is, it might just be a animation error but it could also be something else idk can someone help me figure this out please and thank you.
i’d personally like to believe the blueyverse (unlike OUR universe!) pays an equitable, living wage and no one has to struggle to make ends meet. though i did hear there was a homeless man in the episode “quiet game”, so maybe not…
I think that him working for the university and getting the higher pay makes the most sense, but that would definitely add some drama to the Bluey-verse. 😂 P.S. Love you Margie!!!!!❤❤❤
I mean... their jobs probably pay more in-show than in real life because the jobs they do are... real life dog related? Airport security (sniffer dogs for finding contraband) and archaeology (digging up bones, like it's actually pointed out). So I think the rate of pay would go up because the jobs have more value? I can't articulate it well. Bandit being a uni professor also makes sense. One who is still active in the world of archaeology but teaches when there aren't digs to go to. I think that's an adorable and fitting position for Bandit. Stripe I have to be honest *I assumed he owned a company of his own* and it was just successful? Not like a smuggling ring but like, a small but deeply successful and deeply boring but useful company or something. One that wouldn't really come up in a kids show (so he's not like, a tech company that makes toys, but maybe one that makes parts or something). I also just had the impression the families both came from money in the way most parents in kids media seem to lmao and the house was a wedding gift from Nana. It'd make sense since her oldest son wasn't settling down, but her middle son did, so he got the house. With Stripe and his company (again my theory) and Rad being single and working far away, it'd make sense. Like it does seem to me that Stripe makes the most of the three brothers monetarily, although I can't think of what his job would be. Owning a company was just the first thing I thought of.
Aussie girl margie, this isnt really about the video but I just wanted to share with you something I noticed. As of season 3B, snickers and honey are now the only members of bluey class (I'm not counting pretzel since we haven't heard him speak since calypso) who haven't had any individual lines, do you think we might hear them in season 3c or maybe due to covid, their voice actors had to miss out this season?
Personally I like the idea that Stripe won the lotto because it explains why Muffin's a little spoilt too. When you end up with a sudden windfall you often don't properly know how best to plan for what you're going to spend it on; it makes sense that in wanting to give their kids the best life they end up impulse buying too much.
Awwww I’m so glad to hear that!! And I’m stoked s3 is finally coming worldwide too even if it’s just 25 episodes, hopefully the rest will be out sooner too
Hello i'm a new subscriber. This video reminded me of a weird dream i had. Here it is: I was watching a Bluey episode called "Backstory" (this is not a real episode) It was a backstory of how Uncle Stripe and Aunt Trixie met. I don't remember this part but then we discover that Stripe and Trixie steal money from rich people, that's the reason they have so much money. It was a super weird dream. ;-;
I don’t really like this theory because I really like Chilli and Bandit and I don’t want them to be bad guys, but the only thing that is funny about this theory to me is that Bandit’s name is Bandit 😂

I recently found your channel and have been watching all of your season 3 breakdowns 😁 I love all of your Bluey content!
Oh I’m so glad you found me and have been enjoying my videos, thank you so much for commenting 💗
they aren’t criminals! The way they act really seems honest and Stripe seems very honest and people pleaser, So I believe that they aren’t criminals and people are just acting to logical for a show, ITS A AMAZING SHOW but the fact that there criminals is a fan base logic idea.
I love the thumbnail! That’s so cool!
9:11 now I'm imagining when Bandit was younger he went on a expedition to a temple and using a whip as well as wearing a fedora
Honestly I don't believe the criminal theory because bandit says he used to love coming to the creek as a kid, and because maybe stripe did win the lottery since he has more modern-type house stuff
Yeah I like the idea that it’s their family home too
I love you theories so much they are so accurate i have never thought about any episodes like that!
love your videos. They made me more of a bluey fan and pushed me to get a playset for my 5 year old niece.
While the Criminals Theory is fun, I REALLY like the idea of Bandit being the Bluey Indiana Jones much more.
Imagine the flashbacks.
Love your videos! I'm in the middle of making bluey costumes for Halloween for our whole family!
YES!!! YOU ARE THE AWNSER OF MY PRAYERS YOU TELL ME ABOUT BLUEY AND I FIND IT VERY HELPFUL THANT U SOO MUCH KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK 👍 😊
What if he writes articles for journals and papers as well?
I love the idea that their house was Bandit's growing up!
1:32 I love how they made the queen a Welsh corgi
Bluey is my favorite show. I feel like maybe stripe did win the lottery and shared it across the family. Because if they where criminals the police would try finding them. But I wish Ludo did show some more Easter eggs and stuff.
Luvvvv your bluey vids I have been binge watching for over an hour
While I don’t agree with this theory, I’d be the first in line to see a Bandit and Chilli heist movie.
Omg that would be so fun!
I am sooooo excited to watch this! Your content is amazing!
💗 💗
My favorite theory is it being his childhood home he either was given when his parents retired or he bought off them
Im going with Indina Jones!
Now no wonder Bandit is named Bandit
Haha so true!!
Has anyone ever noticed that when we see a zoomed in version of bluey’s house we can see that they have neighbors right next door and with the fence, but when we see a zoomed out version they are on a hill and there are no houses right next door where they share a fence. Does anyone know why that is, it might just be a animation error but it could also be something else idk can someone help me figure this out please and thank you.
i’d personally like to believe the blueyverse (unlike OUR universe!) pays an equitable, living wage and no one has to struggle to make ends meet. though i did hear there was a homeless man in the episode “quiet game”, so maybe not…
I would hope so too! Hmmmm I’ll look into the homeless guy too!
I love this theory! I love bluey theories and this one is my favourite!
I think that him working for the university and getting the higher pay makes the most sense, but that would definitely add some drama to the Bluey-verse. 😂
I think the professer is the real one but maybe it was the professer and that the home was passed down to bandit it could always be both
Very true it could be a mixture of them 😊
We love your Bluey videos so much!
It could be either of those reasons, or perhaps that their voice actors don’t want to be in it and they haven’t cast anyone new yet
My kids love your content! We can’t wait for Bluey season 3 in the US!
Awwww I’m so glad to hear that!! And I’m stoked s3 is finally coming worldwide too even if it’s just 25 episodes, hopefully the rest will be out sooner too
Hello i'm a new subscriber.
This video reminded me of a weird dream i had. Here it is:
I was watching a Bluey episode called "Backstory" (this is not a real episode)
It was a backstory of how Uncle Stripe and Aunt Trixie met. I don't remember this part but then we discover that Stripe and Trixie steal money from rich people, that's the reason they have so much money.
It was a super weird dream. ;-;
The thumbnail… hahaha! I mean look at chilli!
Thanks for loving Bluey too!
Margie your theories are awesome 🤩I like ‘em❤️
Awwwww I’m so glad you like them 🥰
I agree with the theory!
-Me at a random Walmart
This video was amazing!
Hey nice video, I loved it
I love Bluey so much that I cannot wait until season three and two still haven’t seen those from season two
My birthday is soon I am gonna watch bluey and new sub! :)
Thanks for subscribing 💕
I was thinking that they were not But then I remembered couple things
I love Margie’s videos
Awww thank you! ❤️
I like the idea of Stripe winning the lotto!
I don’t really like this theory because I really like Chilli and Bandit and I don’t want them to be bad guys, but the only thing that is funny about this theory to me is that Bandit’s name is Bandit 😂
3:00 omg which episodes where the Bluey family visited Bali? I am from Indonesia and I've never seen the episodes where they visited Bali before, so I wanna see how Bali looks like in the Bluey universe so much
Oh my gosh!!! It’s like breaking bad, but not so bad!😃 I don’t know, I always thought that their house was Bandit’s growing up, and the Nana and Grandpa Bob gave them the house when Bluey was born and they retired. 😄 any way great 👍🏻 video.
Theory Since uncle rad works at a mining place maybe ancient artifacts are from uncle rad and uncle rad stole it and is paying bandit to keep it
Hi Margie! I am so excited for the giveaway!! I love watching your videos and definitely deserve 10k! Congratulations!
