The ladder was a temporary but suitable solution before I planned to add a legitimate ladder/platform. I have since sold it to my nephew and own and bought a 2012 Montauk 170. I just can't get enough of Whalers!!!!!
Hi Paul, Congratulations & thanks for sharing, I own same boat. Bought it new in 87 for $6K, in storage last 7 years, last month replaced the original Merc 90 motor with new Yamaha 90hp for $15K, otherwise it's original. I want to add a swim ladder to it and noticed yours, does it work?
Beautiful. Love the seating. My 15 SS only goes 25mph with a 60hp Evinrude Etec. I have a 13x17 4-blade stainless prop, now thinking I should switch to a smaller pitch.
With a 60hp and a 15 SS you should get 40mph or close to it. Something is clearly not right if you max out at 25mph. Best of success in solving the right pitch.
That set up with the benches is one of the best ive seen. Beautiful
