Oh man I remember when I first saw these clips at about a decade ago, I didn't understand anything. Now that I play badminton I highly appreciate how quick Taufik switches to a backhand grip and the intention to follow through with a backhand smash. I switch to a backhand grip thinking if I should play a smash, a clear, or a drop which makes me late to do any of them. This guy just reflexively backhand smashes just as how you would reflexively defend a very fast forehand smash.

Jangankan backhand smash, melakukan backhand clear dengan mendorong cock lebih ke belakang aja susah apalagi backhand smash. Dan Taufik melakukannya seperti dengan effortless.

That backhand smash is very unpredictable. That makes TH one of the greatest badminton player. Nobody can do backhand smash better than Taufik Hidayat himself. Even im still learning how to do that backhand smash like he did.
