This movie is releasing only in Kerala on 2/20. Outside Kerala in other Indian states and internationally it releases 2 weeks later. Anyhow, the most awaited movie from Malayalam this year. This must be a great theatrical experience. What you don’t know here is the credentials of the director, DOP etc. they are as good as you can get.

To answer your question about legends of Malayalam cinema : they are Mohanlal and Mammooty.. U have checked out Mohanlals Vaanaprastham where he plays kathakali dance form.. Fahad is obviously a legend in the making..but since he is so young he still has a lot to prove and experiment in years to come.. But in the movies he has done so far he has proved his worth and can be undoubtedly said as one of the tope five actors in Indian cinema.. Bollywood doesn't even come close to matching the level of cinema that's released in Malayalam film industry..

It's not an east task to make a movie out of a real life epidemic by capturing most of the uncertainty and insecurity at the same time being engaging. It's about what you look for in a movie. For example Bangalore days is only a good movie if what you are looking for is fell good factor. People keep recommending that movie here but in reality it's just an average entertaining flick, nothing specifically impressive about it. For someone coming from Kumblangi Nights, with such high expectations, Bangalore days is just a bad recommendation.

It's feels good to know that you put so much effort in understanding India....most of us have been influenced by US and UK mediums...myself was also influenced by russian culture and books as there were constant cultural interaction with them in Kerala...have been to US also on visits which was enlightening...majority was in sturgeon bay WI....even though we were bombarded with US movies it was so very different and more interesting when I visited

Watch "Maheshinte prathikaram" one of Fahad's best performance with his eyes in my opinion... I think you will love it.
Korbin, dont watch Bangalore days if you want to see more of Fahad Fasil... Instead watch Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, Maheshinte Prathikaram, North 24 Katham, Iyobinte Pusthakam or Amen. These are acting masterclass from Fahad..!

@@sahalnaz3904 Yes.. Bangalore days is a feel good movie which shows very little of acting prowess of any of the actors in it. There are way better feel good movies out there in Hollywood and other industries which i'm sure they watched. Also Fahad Fasil has very little screen space in it and literally has the same expression most of the time (because of the story).
I believe we should suggest movies which shows the strength of the Malayalam movie industry which is Great plot and strong acting..!

He is not the biggest in Malayalam - Mohanlal and Mammotty are considered the Legends in Malayalam. But certainly Fahadh is considered one of the bests of the current generation actors.

We can't really say who's best !! Once people used to say nasir was the best ever, now even though he's a legendary figure, no one is discussing him often.. Mamooty and mohanlal are the best as of now becoz of their amazing films over decades , no doubt in that .. But currently they are moving towards films made especially for fanbase and mass entertainers like Telugu and Tamil type content ... And also the best actors ever title can change if these young gen actors in future gives amazing films too..

What we have is BigMs that is our Mammootty and Mohanlal.. we grew up watching their movies and we admire them the most than all these new comers with that being said these guys are also insanely talented especially Fahadh Fasil and Prithviraj sukumaran in terms or acting

To answer your question about legends of Malayalam cinema : they are Mohanlal and Mammooty.. U have checked out Mohanlals Vaanaprastham where he plays kathakali dance form..
Fahad is obviously a legend in the making..but since he is so young he still has a lot to prove and experiment in years to come.. But in the movies he has done so far he has proved his worth and can be undoubtedly said as one of the tope five actors in Indian cinema..
Bollywood doesn't even come close to matching the level of cinema that's released in Malayalam film industry..
I don't think you will enjoy Bangalore Days...it is a light hearted rom-com. Instead watch Maheshinthe Prathikaaram or Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum for Fahad Faasil...
In malayalam many stars have high stardoms like in south india but none of them came out threw no high budget movies only low budget movies and realistic, talent. Thats what want in mollywood.

The movie literally revealed the business happening in the name of Christianity and mocked the entire fake religious and spiritual so-called "leaders". The fun fact is that it takes an outsider to play this role with so much passion and Fahad Fazil being a non-christian, he went all out with his performance. I really liked the movie. A thousand applause to the makers.
Fahad is not playing 2 roles. It's just him. You gotta watch it.
