The micro puff is my go to. In the winter I bike commute 2miles to a train and I don’t need a beanie (just baseball hat under the hood) nor a balaclava since the hood is so form fitting and it covers up to my nose. Also I find the wind resistance to be great, even while cycling. When the temps are below 20degrees I use the down sweater hoody but the hood is more restrictive, but of course much warmer jacket.
I own the MicroPuff Hoody and the SuperStrand Jacket (non-hooded) and agree - the MicroPuff is much warmer, in my opinion. I find the opposite in sizing. My medium MicroPuff fits trimmer than my medium SuperStrand, which feels more boxier. MicroPuff is a superior jacket, sans the hood / zip. When the hood is on & the jacket is zipped all the way up, it's VERY tight and non-wearable. Patagonia needs to address the hood / collar as it's much too tight / shallow.

You have a great setup! Do you find the micro puff to be a bit oversized?
@@ExploreTrekAdventure yeah I agree it’s not slim fitting, but I like the mobility.
I love jacket’s color!
Yellow or blue? The blue does look good. 🤓

bonjour so which one is the best ?
It really depends on the scenario. I would pick the OR jacket for overall use and Patagonia if weight and warmth are a big concern.
ok merci
no brainer to go with SuperStrand as it's currently 1/3rd of the Patagonia. Ridiculous asking price of Patagonia.
The MSRP is definitely on the high side.
