Alrighty, after 2 months of waiting: the updated version of Arvo is here. Now, the reason why I haven't done this review earlier is because back when this mod came out, I was in a UNNECESSARY trip with my parents and my younger brother. what made it unnecessary is the fact that I was unaware that we were leaving our house at last week's Friday. and also that tomorrow: I have school business to do. (After all: I'm still 16) BUT, with that finally out of the way, Let's see how this mod adapts from the OG mod in a way that is finished. (unlike it's predecessor) Kelono's Arvo Ancient Mod Review: The Beats: Beat 1 is a typical Kick-Snare sound, Beat 2 is a weird sounding snare sound, Beat 3 is awesome, Beat 4's animation doesn't match up to it's sound, Beat 5 sounds weirdly mechanical for some reason. Overall: The Beats are kind of all over the place. (and a bit weird) The Effects: Effect 1 and 4 work together very well, Effect 2 and 3 sound FRUITFULL, Effect 5's mouth is in a wrong place, (it should be in the middle, not at the left) Overall: the Effects are pretty good. The Melodies: Melody 1 sounds weird but also western at the same time, Melody 2 sounds great but it doesn't fit into the overall music theme that the original mod had, Melody 3 sounds...........ok? Melody 4 sounds WAAAAYY MORE THREATENING THAN BACK AT THE ORIGINAL MOD, Melody 5 is whatever. Overall: the Melodies are a bit Mediocore. The Voices: Voices 1 and 5 sound similar, (even if they have different lyrics) Voice 2 is a good choir, Voice 3 is a MASTERPIECE, Voice 4 is good but the screaming parts kinda ruin it a bit, Overall: the voices are a bit of a mixed bag. Designs: they are all good, (except Effect 5) my favorite design is Voice 4's design, other than that, there's not much to write home about. Overall, I'll give this mod a 5.1/10 It's a pretty okish improvement over the last Arvo mod, but unfortunately: It falls very flat on it's face. my problem was that a couple designs plus the background polos were going for more of a SpOoKy EdGy ScRaTcH Horror vibe rather than the obviously Egyptian theme the original had. V3 also is extremely noticeably nearly silent when combined with almost any other polo. E1 and m4 had glow ups compared to the last version and are better then the original. I was a bit disappointed that this mod didn't have the same effect that omni had over augury (meaning the OG armed is still better) and one more thing... Why the absolute HELL is Gorge wearing a Top hat?
Honestly, such a better mod than RB and Omni in my opinion. I think my only real gripes are the lack of a bonus effect to even out all the groups, and a few sound changes to make everything work. I will however say that even without these changes, this mod can certainly reach better heights than Arbox if updated. Much love to the team, and hope to see either an update or a new version soon! EDIT: After reading a few comments, I want to give a few opinions on things. 1, despite the fact that the original was considered a “thirst mod”, I liked the diversity of the characters genders. You don’t see a lot of diversity in mods, for a good few reasons. Maybe that’s just me, but I thought it was neat. 2. Designs. I don’t really care if a design is bad, this is a music making software at the end of the day. I prefer a few designs over others, but they all have charms. 3, Mainly in regard to those who have trouble with loud sounds, I do think that Jorge’s “jumpscares” should be toned down a tad. Maybe 1-2 a loop. That’s all I can give for now though.

Massive step up from the demo! Nice to see that the sounds aren't all just following the same progression like in the original Armed. I think personally my favourite polo is Beat 2, love the new design and the differentiation in the sound so it doesn't get repetitive
Mod is a 6/10 Voice 4's sound needs to be changed (the screaming throws me off big time. You did my boy Jorge dirty tbh.) The bass could've been better😔 Melody 4's sound could've been lowered a tad bit and you should've made melody 5 louder Could've changed melody 1s sound to fit his design Could've made secret polo number 1 beat 3 or changed beat 3's sound (Taiko drums would've fit imo) effect 4s sound was pretty weird. I would say change bros sound to be more like a war horn instead of uhh that (Labs in my opinion has the best war horns I've ever used, but it's already been done so) Effect 3's design could've use a bit more smile but It's good nonetheless The beats need a heavy remake (or rework idk), beat 5 is okay but the original is better ngl, beat 4 could've been swapped with hi-hats, beat 2's sound should've be the same as the original, and beat 1 should've also been the same as the original. They both don't hit as hard :[ (and yes I was using headphones for this) also.. voice 1 & 5 do NOT work together. beats: 4/10 effects: 6/10 melodies: 5/10 voices: 4/10
