"I can't. Not again." This scene's animation was way too out of character for my wolgraha brain so I did the normal thing and animated my own version. Done with Blender and Premiere #ffxiv #ff14
I respect yoshi-p on acknowledging how difficult it would be to give the WoL romance on a mmo format where our beloved npc's might become victim to plot. I also massively respect players going 'if yoshi-p won't give me a romantic cutscene I'll dO IT MYSELF'
@@altansipdrae2759 doesnt have to be forced, it can be optional. Can be like yellow(or new color) quest as "dates" and have them tag along as npc we do now where they follow us to certain locations prompting speech bubbles to speak with them, it could be just dialogue like it is now. The more dates you go with that NPCs the more "affection" points you get to prompt cutscenes not just dialogue with them during these yellow side quests. That way it doesnt necessarily invade main quests blue quests or any other npc interactions with them and you. Itll be contained in a way. Unfortunately FFXIV is notorious for its "spaghetti code" to do something of this scale when its the least of their priorities. It be fun to romanticize various NPCs at the same time then choosing one near the end to like make it permanent official the way P5 does it for example. Only some NPCs you can romanticize during a certain patch before they die then you can choose another after, that be a neat concept as well
@@altansipdrae2759 It doesn't have to be forced. Star Wars: The Old Republic, for all its flaws, let you choose who you romanced and gave unique cutscenes as a result. Granted, that game also had a unique storyline for every class with several different endings depending on if you were light side or dark side and who you befriended and whatnot so it's on a whole different level.
I think they should have companion quests. Like role quests or side quests, these are kinda like loyalty quests where you travel with the specific character and do stuff. For Graha’s case, we’d go on a sightseeing tour of all the places we’d been.
that honestly sounds great, having this extra story tidbit for us to chew upon. G'raha became such a good friend for me that I can't really see myself without him in the story. He ended up influencing my character and my way of portraying my story, I just wish we could have more adventures with him by our side.
When G’Raha stretches his arm for you to fist bump him, my WOL grabs him by the wrist, pulls him to her, and kisses him. When she breaks away she whispers “ok” while holding back tears. Right before he disappears, when he turns to look at you, she whispers “I love you”

This should play in actual game by having some sort of option to enable animations based on how much you like, love or even hate characters. This video would definitely be the love option for G'raha. Also adorable af.
