    As a T7 owner. I'm sorry you have to give it back. I appreciate all the time and effort and money you have spent to make this project a reality. Thanks to you I have decided to go with the K-tech suspension upgrade because I mostly ride two track when off-road and the Rally Raid far exceeds my abilities and its really expensive haha. Thank you again!! Keep up the good work.

    Wow, this was awesome! Cool to see the T7 taken to it's limits. I am a T7 owner (with no where near your skill level) and I love the bike - even with it's stock tuning and suspension - for the way I ride it, it handles the basic off road ADV challenges really nicely. I love my T7 for sure. Bravo. Subscribed.

    The bike looks amazing, but it takes someone like you with your riding ability to make it shine. The only way I'd be able to do most of those trails is on a [pedal] mountain bike. This series of videos has been really interesting to watch. My skills aren't as good as yours, but I still think it gave me a good perspective on what the T7 could be capable of.
    My three last bikes has been Honda 300 Rally(changed suspension and exhaust system), T7(stock) and now and heavily adventurized 500EXC-F. Although I absolutely love my 500 in he rough stuff I miss the practicalities and fantastic all round abilities of the T7. In hindsight I probably should have kept it and kit it out instead. This I actually came to realize before watching your series, but now my realization is solidified. I will probably change back to the T7 again now and gradually build it to what I want it to be.
    The 300 Rally was just too underpowered for me, but with a detuned 450 engine with about 50hp it would have been perfect I reckon.

    • @Wintersdark
      @Wintersdark 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's the magic of the T7. It's about as competent as you can get offroad while still being an absolute delight to ride on road. Go any smaller (or cheaper, *cough*KLR*cough*) and hauling yourself and gear on highways is miserable (possible, but not *fun*), go bigger and it hurts in the dirt. There's comparable bikes (prolly Transalp, the Toureg, KTM x90) but then your paying more and more for a bike you're going to smash around.
      For me anyways it's perfect as it's so competent offroad it can cover my lack of skill where the bigger bikes would punish me, and while smaller bikes suck so badly on the hour+ I need to ride to get to dirt.

    Your comments about Pol Tarres: I just thought that - I can see now how it's done. And speaking of the gulf between skills I feel an equal distance from my riding abilities to yours. Very impressive video!
    On a completely different note: I have watched and re-watched your reviews of the 790 Adventure S and 790 Adventure R. And I am so impressed with the way you put bikes into words. You mentioned the s-model being an 'adventure duke' and it just perfectly describes it I think.

      I bought the 890 Adv-R, it is an epic bike too .. without ton’s of modifications, just different hand guards/ skid-plate. But I think the T7 mods are still cheaper, and get similar performances. You defiantly need no more power, but electronics to get the power to the ground but that’s the nice thing about the electronics they benefit you as a driver, to my opinion and can save the day.

My dad still doesn't want to talk about me riding and he even tried to bribe me to sell my Tenere 700 . That's alright though . As for what you're doing with that bike it's just amazing . I could see on the phone screen that those were massive steep hills and pretty technical , I was saying whoa whoa no way a few times . This was so cool to watch. Thanks for all the effort put into a video like this. Did it myself and stopped almost 4 years ago, just because my dayjob didn’t leave me with enough spare time to deliver quality videos (but that’s about to change this year 💪🏼).
    Anyways, I’m just back from a week of off-road riding my t700 in Andalucia / Spain, and during you’re Video I thought more then once „that’s exactly how I felt!!!“. And on top I got stuck with a broken bike in the middle of nowhere too - just it was my Tenere (I fried the clutch on a super steep Enduro Trail) 😂. But these bikes can seriously take a beating. First major failure after so so much off-road (ab)use in the last 1 1/2 years.
    Wish you would have been able to keep the bike and put out more videos with it.

    Incredible transformation, incredible riding skills and an incredibly great video. The only problem I saw, was you completely destroyed my list of T 700 excuses. Now I can only blame myself and my less than good riding skills.

    good riding. when bike is set up it will go places like you say. only thing it does not like is going very slow if your following a enduro bike. enduro bike can go very slow as T7 likes to go a few mph faster in the slow stuff. have fun and stay safe.

    This is a great video and a the entire series is an inspiration for my T7 build. Thank you:) Why didn't you choose the 230mm suspension? Do you think the 200mm is a better suited for the T7 geometry?

    • @BrakeMagazine
      @BrakeMagazine  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I mostly chose it because I wanted to be able to still be able to touch the floor. I wasn't going rally racing with it so making it taller was only going to make it hard to ride. :)

    Those tracks😍😍😍😍! really want to get back in the sand with bikes.. but its heavy t7 or so much maintenance with a enduro/dual sport etc.
    But dnmm this must have been so good for your riding skill!

    Just an amazing set of videos! Great fun to watch. Have bought myself a rapid evo for the bike after watching. Quick question. In the first video you mention that the front wheel feels a bit light/disconnect, which is something I agree with on mine. But you also raise lower the forks in the clamps. Which I would think would make it feel even more vague? What did you do to get feedback in the front wheel?

    • @BrakeMagazine
      @BrakeMagazine  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Change the balance of the bike. The shock is soft compared with the forks and if you weight more than 75kgs you'll need to stiffen the rear spring at a minimum. When it comes back and you have front end grip it's like a different bike.

    • @BrakeMagazine
      @BrakeMagazine  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Metzeler Karoo Extreme front and rear. When it was really wet I used a Metzeler Six Days front. The Karoo Extreme is incredible for grip, a little soft for longevity. 9/10.

    What are you doing to me Llel! Spent the last fortnight try to choose between a t7 & a 890 adventure r. Pretty much come to the conclusion of ordering the new 2023 890 with the much more rally inspired bodywork today. Then you go & put this video up and I'm back to questioning writing off the t7! Why do this too me! Well I might as well ask the million dollar question, as I live in Wales & plan on 50/50 road/offroad riding next year, this spec'd up t7 or a 890 adventure r? If I go for the t7 I will definitely get your graphics as I love the look of them and appreciate all the work you put into this channel!

    • @BrakeMagazine
      @BrakeMagazine  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In Wales, T7 with good suspension and good tyres. Once it rains the T7 engine is still really easy to find grip with but you gotta follow your heart!
