I could see that when you've chosen the design, the tasks appear on a different order, how do I put it in the correct order, as you can see you have underneath task 8, task 7, etc.
Ditto and +1 to all the other positive comments you've gotten here. Excel is powerful useful versatile software. Most (all?) "gantt chart project management" software isn't good for anything other than making gantt charts. Being able to use EXCEL to build a chart like this is so incredibly useful, even for fields (like Engineering) that may not be the primary focus of your channel. Fantastic video.
I believe Joyee is asking about the "Bottom Table" as opposed to the "Vertical Axis". Sorry Joyee, I am also trying to work it out and will advise if I succeed. Other than that, this is a great vid, tx.
I know this question was 2 years ago but this is for anyone else who ran into the same issue: I could not find an actual fix in excel, however I discovered a very roundabout way to reverse the Task order in the bottom table. For my purposes, I needed to print out this gantt chart with the table. So I... 1.) Unchecked the "Categories in reverse order" box at 4:44. 2.) Took a snap shot of the now correct bottom table using the "Snipping Tool". 3.) Saved it as a jpeg. 4.) Went back and checked the "Categories in reverse order" box. 5.) Moved my Gantt chart to a word document. 6.) Right-clicked the chart --> "Wrap text" --> "Through". 7.) Inserted the jpeg 8.) Right-clicked the jpeg --> "Wrap text" --> "Through". 10.) Then aligned my jpeg over the gantt chart's (incorrect) bottom table. I hope this helped!

Frantic call from my client. They need me to make a project chart with timelines for each task. I tell em its called a GANTT CHART. It doesn't register with them.... so here I am, thinking, i have a few xl templates saved...no issues. As i start feeding in info, everything u mentioned here started to happen. Reverse orders etc Its a process. which got me thinking. same goes for life or anything important. we must make the changes to step by step process to get results, thats what i have learnt and thank you fir that. Just wish it was simpler to learn but thanx a ton from all of us.

Hi, wonderful video. One issue, near the end of the video, when you have the last version of the GANTT chart, the Task order in the bars are right, but the task order in the revealed table at the bottom of the chart is still backwards in comparison to the bar chart. Help, there doesn't seem to be a "reverse order" choice to fix the table.

I used the stock Excel GANTT template for the records portion of the GANTT Chart, but didn't like the way they produced the bar graphs, so I used your layout to get the graphs that made sense. I actually write VBA RPAs as part of my job, but I'm always having to learn new Excel tricks. Thank you for an informative presentation, I've learned most of my tricks off TH-cam!

That is just because I happened to scroll over a layout that had a table. I would just use a layout without a table included in it.
