Fields definitely flashes some elite traits with his anticipation and ball placement at times. There is work to be done so it's good he's got another year at OSU to polish his game. Someone will be taking him in the top 5 next year most likely.

So Fields , Lawrence… What do you think about Kellen Mond out of Texas A&M and some of the other quarterbacks that could potentially be coming out next year? I ask because Courtney Davis looked pretty good Sternberger tired and that went to Green Bay look pretty good those pretty good receiver and tight end or is that product of good quarterback?
If not Wilson, Fields could be our guy. In Kyle Shanahan offense, this dude could be the best QB in the NFL if groomed right.

Ya that is an amazing ratio but if ya look at Joe Burrow he had a 60-6 ratio which is about a 4 TD ratio off but also with the volume of throws that Burrow had I mean I’m sure Fields would’ve had more picks with that many I won’t say substantially I say around 2-4 more picks with that amount of attempts but what’s more impressive is Burrow’s completion percentage was still 70+ I mean Fields was 67 so definitely a solid and great percentage but Burrow had an insane year.
David Ogle fields only had 1 pick outside the semifinal 🤷🏾♂️
Since the inception of the rookie salary cap players like this are well worth the risk of selection within the top 15. If he does not pan out, no big outlay of salary invested in the process. If this were 1987 a rookie QB could be asking huge money without even playing a down, alienating the rest of the veterans (who are probably getting paid less).
That fumble wasn’t a fumble, his knee was clearly down before the guy ripped the ball out.

Entrenched as the starter. Took UGA to the Natty and nearly won it as a freshman. No way they let another guy walk in and move him out of the way. Plus Fields was definitely a little more raw his freshman year. His tape pretty up and down

Please don’t omit the fact that it was a rainy day wet ball game; which usually result in a few ball handling issues, which showed up for both teams; especially OSU. The last play you analyze should have never been called because the game was all but over; should have been running out the clock and by the way that was the play that Fields knee was injured; which hinder his mobility the rest of the season and was sorely missed in the Clemson game.
