I was playing yume 2kki for the first time since a friend recommended it to me, was quite surprised when the in-game chat started going nuts over how Joel would start playing it lmao there were 135 players online before, it hit 460+ after Joel joined xD

I've been playing the online for a couple of years with much dismay of losing accounts (forgetting passwords) but the game itself is nothing to guffaw at. It's constantly being updated with new content and has been in development for about a decade now and I have been all for it. It's like when you're a kid and you go into a playplace to hang out. Meeting friends you'll never see again. Everyone shares a single brain cell and its great.

I found this game myself about a year ago (not the original Yume Nikki, but the online project), dipped my toes into it for a few hours, but eventually stopped, because I found it to be a bit too overhwelming, even for myself. Seeing Joel streaming it is like a dream come true. I haven't watched it yet, but seeing how the video is relatively short (yes, one and a half hour is relatively short in this case), I'm going to assume that it's not the full game, or full games, rather. Please, please, please, do all the Yume Nikki games!! I would love to see it! :D

Joel I would explode my balls off if you were to play Will Harvey's The Immortal. Childhood game of mine (disastrous, I know) and I really wish more people covered it. It isn't Battletoads, but it's still pretty stupid difficult, and I feel it could make a decent entry under the Hardcore Fridays segment. There are also two versions, one for the Sega Genesis and one for the NES. The Sega version is much more gruesome and has "fatalities" at the end of each fight, not to mention better-looking, and even has an extra level not present in the NES version! However, the Sega version lacks in the music department somewhat as fights are awkwardly silent. In the NES version, it looks like barbecued shitballs but tries to make up for it in every wrong way: making the game difficult as possible. Unnecessary projectiles, constant swarms of bat enemies, and plenty of other hazards are littered about without rhyme or reason. But hey-- I got my fight music. Who's laughing now? Anyways Joey, as I said, I would eat my phone case if it meant you would give this bitter and unloving game a shot. You play as a wizard trying to rescue your mentor in a large and treacherous labyrinth full of traps and monsters, with a war between goblins and trolls waging on within the depths. As you progress, you discover things may not be as they had seemed, and a legend of the city of dragons may not be as far from the truth as it once appeared... You cam prolly emulate it online, that's what I used to finally conquer my childhood tormentor. I hope you take it into consideration!
