I just spent 10 days in corona quarantine and kept coming back to this video. Really helped me through the isolation. I even made a little remix with the first melody just so I can hear it as a full track 😅 reach out to me if you ever want to hear it... Thanks for the amazing sounds!
Are all the synth sounds coming from the abyss? Is any of it coming from the elektron box (analog four?) or is that just sequencing the abyss? Incredible video!
If you've seen this video, and the Nick Batt and Gaz Sonic State video, and you aren't sold on the sound of this synth, I doubt you want it. This video is so damn good. I've turned it on just to listen to it in the background. Kudos!

Hi Vanandruel, you might also want to look into the Vermona Perfourmer, too. I found an older edition used for 450 euros (newest edition in shops like 1300 or so). It has LOTS of character and a very special interface.
Great demo - beautiful sounds. As an Erebus 3 owner, I keep hoping Dreadbox brings a v2 out since it has been discontinued... I especially liked the movement in the patch at 14:20

Thanks! It’s a bittersweet video for me as I sold the Abyss and miss it a lot. Hopefully a V2 will one day appear with better VCO calibration as they didn’t always track too well. Erebus 3 is an awesome little synth isn’t it?

They stopped making them originally due to the manufacturer of the enclosure went out of business and the programmer who worked on the design of the abyss no longer works for Dreadbox

Thanks. Yes, it's a great 'character' synth if you already have a more versatile/traditional poly synth. The Abyss is unique, beautiful and atmospheric but also fairly limited in what it can do.

Thanks - all sounds are Abyss only. The Octatrack was sequencing the Abyss on 4 separate tracks and providing some drum machine samples.
